While waiting on the chrome to come home for the blackhawk SJ18 floor jack I've
decided to bring back one of my older unfinished projects.
While reading on Free parking the other day that our old friend "Kevin 54" has passed on and remembering that he would always prod me about getting the English phone booth restored when ever he dropped by my thread.
In his honor I'm putting it back into the shop and focusing on making it happen
That said I've put the left side and rear panels on the work bench and will get the left side into the booth for the last coat of primer tomorrow.
Let me take you back to the beginning of this project for review.
I bought the booth back in Feb. 2013 from a friend that was downsizing his project list.
I took it home and it sat til June of that year when I brought it into the shop and started taking it apart
Most of the screws were so rusted that I had to weld a bolt onto them to get enough leverage to break them loose.
After removing 2 of the panels I decided to leave the rest of the booth together and work on it as a whole. That's where this project got dropped.
So in January 2022 some 9 years later I brought the booth back into the shop and started removing the old paint

After spending 2 days grinding paint I decided to try something different.
I called out a mobile sandblasting co. to help me out.
When he was done the booth looked much better
Tragedy struck when I decided to tip the booth down on its side to make working on it much easier.
While tipping the booth with the fork lift it rolled off and broke apart breaking the base in half and breaking the corner mounts on both sides. The work stopped again with much disappointment.
3 months later the pain had gone and it was time to get back on the booth. I grabbed the roof and after smoothing it with a coat of bondo I shot primer on it and put it back outside while I worked on the broken base.

I drilled holes in both broken corners and bolted straps on to hold the 2 pieces together.
Because I had put the 2 broken side pieces out in the yard after the fall and because I had found a better door for the booth, it was time to call out the mobile sand blaster again
After the blaster left I had good pieces to work with again.
