Apparently, Snap-On’s cordless ratchets require periodic greasing using their “special grease gun.” Are there any alternatives?

You should be able to get just get an adaptor for a regular grease-gun.
I bet a small grease gun could be had for the price of the adapter.

This Astro Pneumatic is under $13. Astro Pneumatic 101.

I used to have/use that, bought from from my Snappy dealer two times. I used it in my impacts guns, ratchets, & die grinders, all Ingersol Rand. After that I didn't want to pay SO prices for grease. I found out that all it was is this (SO don't make their own lubes).

(That was early 2000s when I bought the SO grease. Maybe they use something different now but this is what it was & what I have used since.)

Dualco is a name brand for those mini grease guns. HF used to sell the same style guns & is what I have. The cheap ones have work perfectly fine for me.

I have a push ‘n lube grease gun, they’re sold for chainsaws but work great on the snappy ratchets and are cheap too. (Oregon 26365) I find the snap-on greaser tends to leak out a bit of grease over time when sitting so it’s kind of messy.

These little grease guns are very commonly used on impact wrenches as well. I believe my Aircat and I-R impacts have this sort of grease fitting as well.

I haven’t seen any but I’m going to guess that they cost the same or more as the pre-filled units. There are videos on youtube of people refilling them or swapping in other lubricants.

The same price is perfect.

I don’t want a project.

The Snap-on mini grease gun still comes with the Mobil SHC-32 grease. It's that red stuff, and matches what was in my ratchets from the factory. The website confirms it too:
