Good Afternoon Everyone: I came across this set yesterday. It says 32 pieces but there’s only 28. I’m guessing it’s from the 1960’s but I’m not too sure as I can’t find any information on them on the internet. They are in Metric sizes instead of Inch sizes which makes me wonder if it might be newer than my guesstimate. The only marking I can find are on the sockets, an oblong diamond with the # in the center of it. I thought it was kinda cool to have a wire spring around the universal joint. I haven’t seen that b4. Any information/input anyone can provide is always appreciated.

That is f@#&ing cool! Coolest thing I have seen in months around here. I would've reached deep in my pockets for that. From the brand name to the full name of the country, and markings both in English and - according to my son, who speaks fluent Chinese, Simplified Mandarin.
I thought it was kinda cool to have a wire spring around the universal joint.
The only time I have ever seen that is on my 60's-70's Tona (Made in Czechoslovakia) sets.

Glad you like it. It’s funny how I find things when I’m not even looking for it. I got it from a guy in his mid 20’s who said it was his gran father’s set. Too bad it’s missing a couple of sockets and probably the ratchet as well.

Wow that is cool. Would love to find out more about this brand and what level they are considered. Definitely looks old. Wonder if the spring around the universal joint came like that or if someone added it.

First time I saw one on a uni-joint, inside one of the two Tona sets I have, alluded to in my first reply, I thought it was a user mod, to fix the extreme floppiness some uni-joints get. But in research, I discovered they were factory in many Eastern European sets. I have one that's a hard rubber sleeve. I would guess it's factory.

The ratchet was probably a female drive one with the push thru’plug surviving.

The spring on the u/j is also found on the Sidchrome make from Australia in the 1960’s
