Just a little shelf to hold my Chinese diesel heater up in the mini toy hauler. It’s in paint now after some support braces were added.

now to wait til Wednesday for the hull exhaust to show up to place it once and for all. While waiting for paint, gen set and chainsaw got oil looked at and fired up. Need to fill Up the Jerry cans and figure out whats the biggest bottle I need to fill the diesel heater as it’s going somewhere underneath the bench.2BDF4D29-F69A-41D0-BFE0-0D4E5FE6260F.jpegEC18D2D5-25F4-4794-9050-503DD2A7448A.jpeg567E8ADE-86A2-47FE-80E6-E3475A7BFED2.jpeg

Not today, yesterday I pulled the r/s front tire off my F150 because it looked low to check for a nail or screw in it. Nothing in the tire so I aired it up & checked out the suspension. I found the sway bar end link on the passenger's side had a broken bushing, so when I came inside I ordered 2 new ones from Rockauto. Checked the lower ball joints also & found they are a little loose, I have new ones I will have to replace them when I replace the front struts.

Looks like one of mine that I had stirred paint and withdrew the paddle causing it to fly around. I still have paint on the garage floor, washer and dryer as well as the tool chest that was even further away. And yes, I got it all over myself too. :p
@Kuma601, that never happened to me. My jeans and t-shirts with polka dots on the front are fashion statements. 😇

Planned on not doing any work today but grandma texted about 9am asking if I could come over and sharpen her mower blades again until her new ones come in. So drove 30 miles and done that. Got me some new boots while I was over there because she lives near Super Shoes. I made $10 from her lol. One of these days I’ll actually have a day where I don’t have to work on anything lol. As much as I love what I do I need a break sometimes haha. Can’t wait for vacation in July. Will have to go Saturday or Sunday to grandmas and put her mower blades on. I work right next to her house just don’t feel like doing anything right after work. But once I get home I’m back in the mood haha.

I took advantage of the nice weather and low humidity to paint the top side of my wife's jet ski.
Got a tack coat and medium wet coat of clear on all of it before I called it a day. I'll hit it with a couple more clear coats tomorrow.

Picked up one of those metal DIY window screen kits from HD the other day. A little trimming of the four strips in the kit, assemble it together with four plastic corners and two tension spring strips and I have a nice screen for the opening (window) in the new wall between the office and workshop. Pic shows it temporarily fitted and the twp spring strips keeps it nice and snug. Still have to add the screen material itself to finish.1684725381151.jpeg

Sunday.... Replaced the Fuel Vapor Separator Valve/Tube Assembly on the 2018 Ford Edge 2.0EB

(5) tube connections and (1) electrical connector. 3 hours total, with 2 hours of that trying to get the one hose retainer clipped into place. Needed to fabricate a retainer clip to allow me to slide the retainer closed (those familiar with Fords, know what I'm talking about), noting that this fitting requires a contortionist to get to 🤬

Code P01450 now cleared.

Over the last week I took a few 1x6's & painted them & add hooks to them & mounted them on the front wall next to the door, l/s wall & back wall & hung up the garden tools. Also made a small shelf with a few more hooks & hung up the extra rolls of weed eater line, & leave some gloves on the shelf for the wife & I. Now all the garden tools are out of the garage & the basement. Only took me 1 year to get done.

No engineer should be allowed to design until they have personally done maintenance on similar equipment and worked in manufacturing. Then prior to public release of their product, they need to assemble and disassemble it.

Hmm let’s see, today I joined an AWESOME forum... 😉
And then I tested an old Ingersoll-Rand cutoff tool I found in a scrap bin and fixed yesterday, (had to JB weld the threaded fitting back into the end of it, as the plastic had been cracked/smashed) and now it works good! Just don’t have quite enough air to run it for long... oh well.
Then I worked on brainstorming a bracket to mount a second AC compressor on my 12 valve for my on-board-air system.😁4288C0DA-95E5-4869-919C-F97816820E26.jpeg

Did a mega clean-out and organize! Both workbench tops are completely empty for the first time in years.

I also installed a 7ft wiremold outlet strip on the wall behind my main bench, and one on the wall in my shed.

Funny story on those- when I worked for the electronics recycler, we got in a pallet of those industrial 7ft plug strips with the big twist-lock plug. Literally over a hundred of them. My boss said we could each take a few. I took 3. Installed one in my media rack at my old house, and the other 2 have been sitting unused for probably 15 years. It feels good to finally install them!

Like I said a million times in other threads, I am pretty motivated to get all these decades-old projects done.

Not much at work today. Helped replace an engine in a Corolla and done a couple small things. That’s pretty much what I did all day. In my downtime I was planning vacation. Need to decide which MLB park I want to go too. I want to go to Philadelphia Phillies vs Milwaukee Brewers because I’m a huge Brewers fan. Them and the Padres. Dad doesn’t want to drive in Philadelphia. He said he would go to Pittsburgh though. Also considering Orioles and Braves but he said he won’t drive in Atlanta either lol. Nationals won’t be home my vacation week so that’s out. We went to the Reds game 9 years ago. And I’ve been to a Mets game in school. Has to be a ballpark we can drive too though as I refuse to step foot near a plane lol. It’ll probably end up being Pittsburgh that we go too but we will see. I’m trying to get a straight answer from him. I’m paying for tickets so I just need to know where he will drive lol. I plan on sitting right above a dugout if available I don’t get cheap seats in baseball lol. I will cheap out on a hotel but not baseball seats. And I go all out at the team store too lol.

Don't forget about oiling. I built one into my old 4Runner and used one of those inline-oilers that keep your air tools oiled? That was not enough oil. I got about 10 hours use on it and it seized up. But it ran a 4 bay shop pretty much all day when the compressor gave out. A twig under the throttle stop kept it at 1000rpm.

You can drive to an Amtrak station in a smaller city and take the train, but if you drive up I-95, you can exit the highway and you are basically at the ballpark, no where near the taffic density of most major cities.
