Here's a couple pics of my garage (more like a refuge). I first built it back about 13-14 years ago, from the ground up. I did everything myself, the concrete, framing, wiring, roofing, painting... you name it. The only thing I didn't do was haul in the dirt. When I first started, I added just over 42" of dirt, right where the garage doors are. My yard used to drop quite a bit from the back to the front. The front edge of the yard used to be 24" below the street. Now, the garage floor is 18" higher than the street. I had to raise the yard this much to accomodate the size of the garage. It's 30' wide, by 40' deep.

I used to do a lot more work in there, but don't really have the time to do much of that anymore. So a year ago, I decided to clean it up some. I added more lighting, painted the osb walls/ceiling, cleaned and painted the floor, and did some other things. Now, all I use it for is working on my own projects. I've got some other things I'm in the process of doing to it, and I'll post more pics soon.

These pics were taken from the front wall, where the garage doors are. The street is just about 25' from the doors.

The reflection in the window makes it look like that's outside, but it's not. The door in the back goes to another room, that's 10' deep for the entire 30' width. It's just for storage now, but in a year or so, I'll convert it to a room similar to an efficiency apartment. It'll have a hot-tub, bathroom and shower, a mini-kitchen, tv, a/c, and all the other ammenities. Just a place for overnight company, or entertaining guests.

It's the fiberglass tonneau cover for my Ranger pickup.

I originally use to use those hooks for the topper I had. I got tired of it leaning up against the wall when I'd take it off my truck. It's suspended with two ratchet straps, and those are hooked to the eye-bolts in the ceiling. I didn't want to rely on lags, so I went up in the attic and attached
L-brackets to the rafters with nuts-bolts, then attached the eye-bolts/nuts to the brackets. Males a lot more practical storage for the tonneau, when it's not on the truck, which is only a couple months out of the year.
