^^That looks like a Coote belt grinder https://cootebeltgrinder.com/ Knifemakers like them a lot -- they are simple, dependable, effective machines. Still USA-made, $530-700 depending on size without the motor (which appears to be a very nice motor! -- 2 start caps = single phase and possibly hi-torque cap-start-cap-run. From the size, I would guess 1.5hp, though impossible to know for sure. It's a very good deal.

If you buy it, put a belt guard on it so you get to keep your fingers.

^ I thought I had seen that belt grinder design before.

The seller just lowered the price to $100

(must control urge to buy another belt grinder :)
I would buy it but I already have an equivalent.

Same... I have 3 burr kings and a shelf of accessories and I still jump a little whenever I see a nice one like this... Someone will get a nice grinder.

Millrite MV vertical milling machine $800
Location: Southern California (Simi Valley)

One of the stiffest small footprint vertical mills. High quality. This is the short XY table version for even a smaller footprint. Very sought after and not very common on the used market.

To answer a few questions you might ask:
What collet size? - R8 or B&S #9 (doesn't matter at this price, both are available)
Is the motor single phase? Could be three phase. If so, buy a VFD at this price. Easy to interface.

Have you started using it? Any pics / threads / posts about it???

Mike
First and foremost, it's got a 3 phase motor on it, so until I get a vfd sorted, I can't even turn it on.

For now, I'm still trying to make room in my shop, and I've been building a dolly for it so I can move it into a corner where the hoist won't reach.

I'm in a similar boat with a Jet mill/drill I got from work a few years ago.

This was on the Local Craigslist when this popped up in the TOOLS section . I did the screen shot minutes after the pictures were posted. Note: I did block the contact information. Craigslist removed the post in a few minutes.
There must be a few classic Craigslist cliches for this offering.

I'd guess empty?

Don't always assume.

I bought a fully loaded snap on chest at an estate sale for $800 a few years ago. My absolute best score ever.

All I had to do was match the lowball offer from the local snap on dealer - I would still buy that shady ***-wipe a beer for the solid he did me though.

What looks like a Wilton C3 for $300 in the San Diego California Area.

1940's Wilton 6" Jaw Bullet Bench Vise

Edit: That didn't last long.
