Just posting a link to try to help others, use it or don't their call. A lot of prime day deals are the same or higher than normal price and using an inflated list price to show more discount percentage.

This is shockingly common. If you're not using the Keepa plugin, I strongly recommend it. It really does help show whether an item is priced reasonably or if Amazon is just fudging the "normal" price, as they do (honestly) most of the time.

Now, the argument can be made that if a figure is an amount that you're willing to pay then by market forces it is a fair price. If a widget costs $10 and you think, "Hey, I'd pay $10 for that widget," that's a fair price and you should buy the item rather than the deal. However, having the ability analyze historical data for items and prices is a valuable tool in decision-making.

Don't trust Amazon or "Prime Day" to give you good deals.

Just based off of my limited experience, the prime day deals seem pretty good. The percent discount is always questionable throughout life. The ability to get things at six months ago, or year ago prices in the future is questionable as well.

This link broken for me.
I tried to find a Knipex deals thread in there, but I haven't yet.

That link came up a little weird when I was posting but worked. I will go retrace my steps and see if I can find it again.

Edit: Could not find it, I don't think there were a lot of items, maybe sold out?

Not a problem for me. I was only trying to find a link to provide as an alternate for others.
Anyway, reminds me .... Thanks Crabman! You've so frequently post good deals for us.

Not mind blowing or anything and I know you can pick up a 400A one at HF for not much more but I personally find larger clamps a nuisance when clamping on smaller stuff. Picked up a pair of bare ones as the insulated ones ship from China.

edit: fairly small, see update post.

bare; prime

insulated; china

These things are tiny (pictured next to stamped clamps from 150A and 200A machines (clamp 'rated 300') . I thought I'd hate them but worked out great since they don't spin small work around w/their weight. I used one for a plasma cutter and one for welding table duty (25mm2 CCA lead). It comes w/an 80A lug so don't know where they get 260A from. Decent spring. Just a heads up for anyone considering it, maybe the 300A or 500A or HF are better suited. Used some handle covers from scrapped jumper cables and transferred jaw copper braid from another clamp:
