Picked up a long barrel impact hammer (Ingersoll 119MAXK) for doing ball-joints on my 2012 ram 2500. Got this along with the Lisle tools for driving the unitized hubs out. This thing is no joke!! I was scheming and preparing all week on all the ways I could get them out if they were stuck. My '01 ram 2500 was a nightmare the one time I did it. This walked the bearings out without even trying hard. Had the hubs out in under about 2 minutes. Couldn't be happier with the purchase. (y)

In case anyone is wondering, the 16 and 18 do fit the stock Koken rail they send, got those two to fill out the blanks for 10 to 22...though don't have the 20mm. Do they even make one?...please don't tell me if the answer is yes...hahaha!

Also gotta thank Fedwrench for suggesting the flex extension. Was looking at SO, but the Knurled end wins it 100%, I'm gonna grab more of these in 3/8 and 1/4.

A few things new over the last several days.

20230715_154506(0).jpg

The same Astro Pneumatic 78318 ratchet everyone else is getting as well. Here it is pictured with a Snap-on FHLLFD80 3/8" Ratchet.

20230715_153840.jpg

Snap-on Long mini pick set in hi-viz.

20230715_155726.jpg

Lisle 50210 gasket separator. Already saved the day once, definitely one of those why didn't I buy it long ago tools.

20230715_155857.jpg

Lang mini pry bar set. I haven't used them yet, but I bought them based on the fact that the bar is 3/16" round like the Snap-on. I didn't know you weren't allowed to touch them, though - the ink on the handle of the bent one came off entirely when I wiped off the gallon of oil that was on it from the factory and the straight one was smudged by my hand.

20230715_160003(0).jpg

This is the Lang on top compared to the Snap-on on the bottom. I like the Snap-on handle better, but the clip position *****, as it's right where I'd want to put my thumb. The Lang has a greater angle to the bend and I'm unsure how that will play out in use. The Snap-on wins in the markings-not-coming-off-instantly metric, but the Lang bar is indexed nicely and not crooked like the Snap-on. The Lang was 4x less expensive.

Urrea 3/4" Striking Wrench Adapter. I couldn't afford the Wright one, so I got this one. It seems very well made.

My snap on pocket Prybar doesn’t even have a clip. Interesting.

Now you need a hammer bit (or two.) Good for rusty rotors, drums, things that need move or come apart.

Picked up a few chanellock items. I was looking for the smaller pliers but the set of 2 was only a couple of $$ more than just the small ones so 2 it is! Some may not like adjustable wrenches but I find their wide ones pretty handy. The small ones have the slim jaws. 20230707_143039.jpg

Snappy guy knew I was trying to catch the Mac truck for a set of pocket prybars so the last time he ran into him he grabbed me a set in orange. I kinda felt dirty buying Mac tools from the Snap on guy lol. Oh and got a set of hose clamp pliers too

I have the griplock pliers also and love them. Hard to beat them in my opinion

I was looking at that set, I should just buy one! What are the specs of the compressor you're using to drive it?

Took some tool drawer photos today, so these are a mix of stuff I’ve had for years and stuff that is new.

Still fleshing out the pullers, I’ve had some of those auto-parts store versions basically forever but want something nicer, was thinking KTC.

Do it! I can't speak for the longevity but if you need a strong air hammer at non-tool truck prices this is hard to beat. Wishing I had it a few months ago when I had to cut a muffler off. My Harbor Freight special wasn't up to the task. Read reviews that the bits in the kit aren't the best but they look okay. Hard to say.

I'm running it on a 110v 30 gallon Husky compressor; 135 psi max (5.5 scfm @ 90 psi). It was up to the task for what I needed to do with this. Like anything with a small-ish compressor you may end up waiting a bit for it sometimes. This is very true when running a die grinder on that compressor.

V series 1/2'' drive ratchet bought as part of an old toolbox at an auction. Very good condition. I'm guessing the year to be around 1970, any way to know more precisely?

Looking at the first pic, I thought, "Hmm.... needs about a dozen more Knipex, if you ask me."

Then I got to the fifth pic. Thumps up!

For the Astro Nano Sockets, thought you guys might be interested in the 17mm with loc ring from USAG.
Might prove to be handy!

I'm confused. There isn't a 17mm wrench listed at the link. There isn't a 19mm listed either. The same picture of the 19mm keeps showing up no matter what size is chosen.

Edit - There is a set that has the 17mm in it, however.

IIRC, I bought my Craftsman RHFTs in the late 70’s / early 80’s. I believe that Easco produced them. That said, I’m certain that you could find out more precisely from the craftsman experts. Excellent ratchets.

Was strolling through my local "Running's" store and came upon Felo 500 series screwdrivers and given the asking price they may have been on close-out? especially when I had to dig to come up with the last set. Seemed cheap at $28 + tax for made in Germany screwdrivers so picked them up.
