Lathe face plate thread 1 1/2" x 10tpi ?

I have a 6" faceplate that has 1 1/2" by 10tpi threads. It came with a bunch of lathe related tools etc that fit my Atlas and South Bend lathes and I assumed it was also 1 1/2x8tpi but it's not. It is considerably larger than 1 1/4" also, which I found mentioned as a possible size used in some lathes. I'd like to find out what it might fit so that it can find a new home. Maybe a wood lathe, but not mine.

The very, very early South Bend 9 inch workshop lathes had 1 3/8 x 10 tpi spindles, rarely seen today.
Maybe its 1 3/8 not 1 1/2?

it looks wood lathey to me with just the 3 holes .

That might have been a backing plate for a chuck. That would explain three equidistant holes.
Can't remember if smaller logans used that? I believe I have seen that thread before, just can't remember where.

I think that is for a wood lathe. Do they use a differnt thread?

All kinds of proprietary thread sizes on older lathes with threaded spindle noses. My Sheldon is 1 3/4" x 12 and my Seneca Falls is 1 7/16" x 12. A face plate or a dog driver would be slotted. Maybe a back plate for a chuck as suggested by rustyzman? I would guess if you were to list it on eBay it would be grabbed up quickly.

I’m interested in your backplate. I have a Slone & Chase lathe with 1 1/2x10 output.
