I think it'll be a keeper!Gleman, that is a cool looking vise.
Sorry, I should have mentioned that I usually do a deep clean beforehand. It may not need it.Two vises for $15?? You ****!!!
Maybe it's just the picture, but I don't see any rust to speak of. Dirt and grime--yes, but the e-tank won't do anything for that. Degreaser or Simple Green and a wire brush should be all you need.

Yes he does!You ****!

Also a good working Dewalt setup.

Great haul on a bunch of quality USA metal 3bay. Especially the find on the Snap-On metric wrenches and the Matco Serpentine Belt wrench set looks familiar, picked up that same set a couple weeks ago. Well doneGarage sale this morning. New owner cleaning out garage and selling off previous owner’s tools. Tried to get there before opening but didn’t happen. Ended up taking the baby. Her first sale! Forgot pics.
Got there 1/2 hr after start. No one there but seller and one neighbor. Guy let me park the baby near the garage AC. She graciously let Daddy look for a while through the cabinet containing all the tools.
While the neighbor talked the seller’s ear off about wild animals and his wife, a family member dying from canned goods, his son being a cage fighter, and every other thing under the sun (literally), I cleaned out all the Snap-On, Blue-Point, Mac, Matco, Craftsman, Duro-Indestro, and other USA tools. Also a good working Dewalt setup.
Despite the bulk of tools and large box being hauled off by a friend prior to this sale, I still made off with a generous taste of truck brand stuff!
Snap-On saw, ratchet 6 pt metric combos, allens, aircraft drill bits, picks, screwdriver, flip socket, etc.
Mac 3/4 impact extension, deep impact sockets, alignment wrenches, ladyfoot bar, chisel.
Blue Point wheeled bit driver set, puller parts.
Craftsman 6 pt SAE Wrenches, large Allens, etc.
Duro Indestro wrenches, extension, hex socket.
Ampro 1/4 deep set, a Trw socket, 3 J-S by S-K, Stanley Handyman adjustable, Powrkraft ratchet and adapter (not in pic), Goodell Pratt offset screwdriver, Williams clamp, Coyote knife (trashed), Harley wrenches (one modified), Plomb extension.
Like New Craftsman Torque wrenches. Mity-Vac, Matco belt tensioner set, Mac oil can.
Matco spring compressor.
Had to toss out the Dewalt bag as it’s deteriorated inside. Oh well.

I cleaned out all the Snap-On, Blue-Point, Mac, Matco, Craftsman, Duro-Indestro, and other USA tools.![]()

I got a Case knife and several sheathes, an(unpictured) long handled Keen Kutter axe
a Record Spokeshave,PowrKraft Chisels, a Volume Socket Set, Snap On No71 ratchet,Channelock needlenose,nail sets,lectrolite deep offset,xcelite stubby.
Craftsman carpenter’s box.
The neighbors and I found three sales on Craigslist, two of which were a waste of time, toolwise. The third sale was in Stateline, NV. and produced a few tools. One DOE was Proto and the other Controlled Steel. The Ridgid 10“ pipe wrench was dated 1948
The rest of the sales were TOOs plus one sale that I had previously visited. I’ll be doing some tool clean up. I was unable to pass on the Craftsman carpenter’s box.
My favorite find of the day was the Barcalo screwdriver that my neighbor scored. I was able pry it away from him.

That's the Blue Point puller. I'll check the part # later on because I haven't had a chance. Might be. The guy was a Harley guy.3baygarage--there is one item in your excellent haul of which you have two pictures. It appears just below the hacksaw in your first and eighth pictures and looks very much like a tooI I have for pulling motorcycle forks into place on my BSA's. Any additional info on it?

Outboard motor lock https://www.google.com/search?clien...YkEHdUjAW8Q0pQJegQIBxAB&biw=441&bih=747&dpr=2Never seen a "Short shank" lock like that one Master...

Apparently there a channel (maybe a foot? The is also involved, and probably locks the "wing nuts" that hold the motor to the boat.Where does it go on the motor?
Ok,
Patrickm82 definitely *****.
any of those ratchets at 5 bucks each would have been a steal.
You sure did! You ****!I still made off with a generous taste of truck brand stuff!
A local guy ,here on GJ Shadowrulez had alerted me to the sale and he collects license plates and I would have bid on his behalf, his limits were $80,$80,$30,$30 the plates ended up at $260,$275, $110,$80. Not sure if it was auction fever or just inflation. That's the Blue Point puller. I'll check the part # later on because I haven't had a chance. Might be. The guy was a Harley guy.
Alinc- nice find on the Volume set! Too bad the Craftsman cabinet ran away like that. Doesn't really surprise me these days.

The railroad rail was $12 and the other stuff all averaged about $2.50 each.....Well, that was a mixed emotion event. I sold $226, and only bought $97, so a financial gain. Most items I sold were flipped at 4 to 6x what I paid for them, so pleased with that. But unfortunately, the dozen or more planes I brought were not even looked at, nor the Kennedy box. The crew was interested in my two Craftsman vises, and 150 yo brass square, but no one countered my pricing. Only had a few negotiating deals, and as I said above, a couple of things sold quick at asking, so I must have been low on them.So I'm at the other end of the garage sale spectrum today setting up shop at a PAST tool sale in my hometown, practically. 20 tables, at least 50 vendors and buyers.
My table, couple of vises under, few things sold before the table was fully set up, must have been underpriced

I believe the bayonet is Japanese. There were several variations but I have a similar one in its scabbard.Yep, refer ratchet - It looks like you also got a WWI bayonet? is it US?
That size barrel is very handy for a shop garbage can or loose stock, 3-6 ft long.
