Does anyone recognize this 5 drawer box? Also was told the 2 drawer is a Malco. Out of the 2 which would you pick. Both are 30 bucks. Does the Malco look old enough to be USA?

The handles on the orange box look like those on a "REM" cabinet I have. Other than color, the 2-drawer looks a lot like a JC Penny box I used to have. My guess is both boxes predate 1990. Choosing one is entirely dependent on what you want to store in the box.

Orange box is similar style but smaller to an old Matco box that I have but mine has Matco on handles. Possibly Waterloo, Huot, MB Century or even Mac or Matco.

Holy smokes I’ll be damned if you didn’t hit the nail on the head that looks like a oc penny box!! And yes looked up remline looks just like the other!! Thank you so much. Would you think the remline is USA maybe? Looks old enough? Just want it for a few common tools for junk yard sockets a ratchet and some small pliers

I was hoping it’d be a good box but just saw sellers page. He’s selling snap on tools for super high prices so doubting he’d be selling this box for 20 bucks if it was a good brand right?

If those boxes are as old as I think they are, I think they would be USA made, but I can't think of a way to check to say positively. I would look at the boxes and check the action of the drawer slides. If they are in good shape or appear to just need cleaning and relube then I don't think you can go wrong. I loved my JCP box and used it for years till my collection of tools became way to big. Then I used it a while longer for a travel box before passing it on to a relative. My REM box is a middle chest and is still in use. If the seller is selling lots of top brand at high prices, they may be somewhat of a tool snob that undervalues so called lesser brands making it a better buy for you. For your stated use, go for it.
