Davy's KRA-53 restoration

Evening all,

After googling around and finding the answer on here see my recently purchaced Snap-on KRA-53 that I picked up earlier in the week for £50, Solid box with a couple of minor dings in the back thats not noticable, Had a look to find the year but it's not stamped on the back of the box as far as I can tell.

Getting stripped down tomorrow and dropped off for powdercoating on Monday as qouted around £30, cheaper than doing it myself still to make up my mind which colour, Might get it done yellow or green but sorely temped to get it done olive drab and get some decals made up for it based on this C47

All stripped down ready for powdercoating, don't think the box was chuffed though used two large zip ties in lieu of having the right tool. Box is solid, so once powder coated should be good for another 50yrs of use. I've still to decide what to do with it yet though

Well all done now, used the sticker to hide some pitting that was picked up during the shot blasting

All lined now, just need to find a use for it. Might use it for my fishing tackle and line

That might be a bit heavy to haul to the nearest lake when you go fishing.

To keep reels/mono and braid/ tackle in at home, Anyway who said owt about lake fishing? We have Lochs here and proper fella's sea fish

Will need to check I found the box model no though will it be around that?

Generally date will be found near model number.
