I was disassembling this drill.press and accidentally crackedthe depth stop yoke assembly.(overlooked the set screw😑 and did too much prying/beating) . I cant seem to find the exact replacement. I see these from many other drill press branda but known look exactly the same. Mainly on mine the hole sits far over on the piece sticking out instead of being centered. Anyone know where to get a replacement? Anyone have one? Any othwr idias would be greatly appreciated

I have the same press but a bit newer as mine looks to just be flame cut vs a nice casting like you have. Aside from the online auction site...not sure of a source for original. If just looking for functional I could probably draw up and 3d print a replacement for a nominal cost

Thanks for the reply as missed the initial response

Here is the one on mine, much less "refined" and pretty which makes me assume it's a newer machine...personally I prefer the aesthetics of yours!

depth stop.jpg

As for 3D printed material, would be either ABS or ASA which is basically the UV resistant version of ABS

Looks like the thru hole for the depth stop "rule" may be a bit smaller diameter then it may be on mine....otherwise looks similar

The other thing that could be done if ok with something more "functional" like mine without the casting elements would be to get it cut via waterjet/laser from something like SendCutSend or similar service. I could draw up mine in CAD and send you a 1:1 pdf file for you to print out and confirm fit, then you could source the parts from your desired vendor

I have a spare one from a Clausing drill press I might be willing to part with. What is the spindle diameter? What is the center to center distance from the spindle to the depth stopimage.jpg?

the center to center is about 2-3/4" and the diameter 2-1/4"

An unrelated question. was going to make a new thread but seems some knowlegable people on here. The press has a 3/4hp 1725 rpm motor. I was wanting to upgrade the motor to either 1HP or 1.5HP. I know its probably unnecessary but why not. As long as its the same rpm and shaft size to fit the pully would there be any issues? It has the reeves drive set up.

Looking thru the Powermatic 1150 manuals and brochures, it was only offered with. 3/4hp motor. The drill press was probably designed with some safety margin, but who knows how much. So if you had a 2hp motor and stuck a large drill in your bolted down workpiece, if the belt did not slip something on the drill press is going to break. Not recommended.

Ended up getting a brand new Lesson 1.5HP 3 phase motor off facebook for $80 bucks!! unfortunately it didnt have a mounting base just holes that treat in the the front case of the motor. So i found a conversion bracket on ebay and paid almost 2x for that than the actual motor :ROFLMAO:I'm still looking for this quill stop if anyone can help can pay just lmk

Try posting a wtb thread at the OWWM.org BOYD forum. Those guys have never let me down finding some pretty scarce machinery parts. They've also been pretty fair with pricing.
