Once you stick a gutter there, you won’t be able to see the fascia anyway. I‘d look at taking off the fancy crown first. Also, to get the inner edge of the gutter under the end of the shingles.

Try and avoid the roof straps if at all possible.
Having things nailed into the roof, can open up the possibility of failure down the road.

And in my opinion, do not look very appealing.

Can't those gutter straps be put under the shingles? I've always been confused when I see them on top of brand new shingles, why is it done that way?

Zeke and Uncle I agree. Putting those brackets on top of the shingles is, dang, 'offensive' probably isn't the right word but I bet you guys know what I mean.

There are several ways
1- they make a wedge that fits behind a square gutter not the most visually appealing.
2- half moon gutters that hang off the roof itself.
