Retired, with a degree in Civil Engineering and some building experience. Converting a 65 year old 600 sqft single story "barn" into a cabin. After much infilling of exterior openings with 2x4 stud walls, exterior paneling and doors then making the roof water tight I am now reinforcing the main roof beams and thinking about the ceiling. That is my area of particular interest right now so I will do a separate post on that.
