So I’m able to pick this up for free next weekend if I want it. Anyone know what pump this is? It’s an ingersoll but I can’t make out model on tag.

Dude also has an older Quincy with gas motor but the engine is no good. Figured I could grab yet another compressor to overhaul 😃.

I'd grab it and figure it out later. Pump has a name plate on it...
The Quincy too, pretty reliable and high duty cycle. But they think their parts are made of Gold.

Nameplate is unreadable in person unfortunately

Second one is a Worthington.
Dude said it was a Quincy but from what I could see in the pic it didn’t look like a “Q” anywhere on the tag. Are worthingtons decent? Idk anything about them. Guessing any new parts may be hard to find?

Honestly, they were very good machines but I can't vouch for spare parts availability. Worthington has been gone for quite awhile.

I wouldn't bother with that IR. Project and a half for dubious end result.

Damn I was hoping that IR would be something to get into lol. I can’t find any information on the model 41. Googled and really didn’t come up with much. Found some rebuild kits but I ended up emailing IR. Hopefully they can send me some info on it. That old century motor on it is massive.

Recently I had picked up a ‘84 champion r15, IR T30-242, and a ‘71 SB 705. The SB is running my shop now. It’s been a learning experience for sure rebuilding these but has made for a nice hobby.

I'm a fan of both the Champion R15 and the SB 705 as they both use disc valves. The IR, not so much as I just don't find the reed valves to be as robust / dependable as disc valves. Other than a Quincy QR-25 pump, you have 2 of my favorites.

I ended up refurbishing my disc valves on each of those compressors. So simple and such a better idea than a reed valve. I’m almost done with the champion. Just have to clean/blast the flywheel and put the belts back on and I can wire it up. I’m gonna repaint the tank and compressor but I wanted to make sure all the work I’ve done to it is solid before springing the $ on paint.
