I've used Zud on rusty chrome pipes and other bits for years on street bikes. Works really well.

I remember Zud. After you used it to clean stuff, the skin would fall off your hands.... OK, I'm exaggerating but only a little. That stuff was powerful.

Looking at old MSDS sheets it appears to be fairly similar to Bar Keepers Friend.

Oxalic acid is weak but can be a bad irritant.

Funny how some of these companies are still around but don't seem to have a marketing presence anymore.

Those of us in the know can buy Zud and Bar Keepers Friend and get great results without needing ads to reminded us to buy the stuff. I use BKF on AllClad pots and pans and glassware to remove spots and get a cleaner kind of shine. Great on Chrome too.

Guess my thing is I haven't seen a bottle of Zud in quite a while locally. BKF is everywhere.

Reminds me of my beloved Hydrox.
