Which model is this one? Wow you share a review of the light when you have some time to use it?
It's the PD36R - I did charge it up and took it outside for a test drive; it's incredibly bright for it's size, about 5 1/2" long. I'm not much on tail switches, but that's me - I guess I'll adapt. Mine was listed at $39.98, I see they're now $49.98.

The push button "tail switch" has a lot of benefits especially in a self defense situation.…….. One hand "quick on and off" operation while keeping the other hand free to hold something.

I have a TK20R I paid regular price -20% for last year. Amazing light and I like the dual tail cap interface. I would’ve snapped up a few more at the blem price if I’d seen them. I EDC a PD25R for the past couple of years, great light. The available PD36R is the same interface (side button and rear clicky) with twice the lumens. I’m considering buying a few to leave in my boat bag or truck. For the price they are a no brainer.

ETA: I just had my old man order four of the PD36R with his 25% military discount for $150.

Reality = The Chinese copies are equal at 1/10th the Fenix "Sale" price or less.

The first things that go in my pockets in the morning are a knife and flashlight. Thiose things have been more useful to me than any phone.

Fenix makes incredible flashlights! I’ve given them for gifts and have two plus an amazing headlamp. Needed parts, (rubber switch cap) sent it at no cost and a video on how to switch it out. Carry mine everyday.

Ahhh....the ol' HF Pittsburgh is equal to Snap-On argument. That's a bold strategy Cotton...

Anyways, my PD35 showed up today. Has the American flag up by the lens. The flag looks OK. It was engraved with "Elijah Miller" under the flag, but was lased over so you can barely read it.

I was not familiar with FENIX therefore, I was reading up on them and they are a Chinese Company in ChenZhen. It was founded in 2001 with product to over 100 countries.

From their website:
Never forget why you started, and your mission can be accomplished. Fenix is translated into Chinese as "a living bird, a perfect thing". It also represents the original ideal of Fenix brand.

I’ve been using Fenix products since I purchased my first P1D around 2009. I killed that light with a 3 story fall to concrete, otherwise it was very durable. I’ve purchased a bunch of their products in the past 15 years and it’s been consistently good. Their single cell CR123 lights have been in my pocket that whole time. I have other more expensive lights from names like Streamlight, Surefire, Modlite, Cloud Defensive, etc, but the Fenix product is damn good at a more reasonable price point. I’ve always known they were a Chinese import, so are my Milwaukee tools. What they are not is a low grade LED flashlight with that terrible square pattern when you slide the focus tube out for distance like the multi packs at Costco.

My TK20 arrived. Has the flag like in the picture above and probably a name at the bottom that seems to have been lasered off. Seems like a great deal for less than half price.

Man I was hoping for some feminine hygiene product logos. That would be way more unique than a flag and lasered out name.
Mine all came, very happy with them for the price.

got my PD36R today, never seen or owned a Fenix product before. my engraving mistake is some C&C Boiler Co. Sales & Service, nothing etched out though.

started reading thru the enclosed paperwork and immediately saw the chopped-up Chinese-to-English translation wording. also doesn't help that the Warranty Card is only in 2 languages. 1 guess as to where it was manufactured? and the listed phone number? +86-755.... 86 is the international code used to dial to China. 755 is the local area or city code used to dial to Shenzhen.

so we appear to have a quality product sourced from China by an American company? I got no problems with that, just don't give me the old bullsht of "Designed in USA, Assembled in China"
went back and looked at fenixlight.com vs fenixlighting.com, China website of manufacturer vs of US Distributor.

has a nice bright alternating slow/fast strobe function. on/off also functions as a momentary switch so you can keep it on Low but not On all the time. this'll help preserve night vision when using to check credentials and so you don't have to cycle thru all the Lite Levels turning it on/off all the time

I'll have to use it for awhile to evaluate but the only things I really see going for it now compared to any similar flashlight are:
-extremely bright lumens compared to competition
-nice little lanyard
-extremely convenient USB-C charging feature with Li-ion battery
-nice doubled over clip feature
-nice little cordura holster

I thought it was well known these were Chinese flashlights:

Production methods make innovation repeatable.

Based in Shenzhen, China, Fenix creates unique lighting products in a company-owned facility under close scrutiny from quality assurance professionals. Unlike contract manufacturers or subcontractors, Fenix owns the performance of each and every light. From owners to employees, the talented team is out to replicate the craftsmen’s eye for function, fit and finish. Those high standards flow from design to production to quality assurance.

Mine arrived with camo engraving over the middle knurled section. An excellent tradeoff, considering the price. It's crazy bright in the "turbo" mode. I don't expect to use that mode often. Anyway, thanks to the OP for the heads up on this deal.

Ordered the PD36R, received some combo packaging that had the PD36R plus a "E01" flashlight (a 2-1/2" penlight with a AAA battery) !

The PD36R was engraved with camo barrel, naval eagle with what appears to be two large white circles on the side (moons?) and maybe a F117A fighter jet...
