For those that call in about deals do you just ask the person if they have any of whatever is on clearance at another store in stock for the same price? If so how are the responses usually do you get mixed answers or are they usually pretty willing to check and let you know if they have it at clearance price or regular? There’s 2 at my local store and I wanna know if I can call and ask and if they’ll let me know or not so I don’t waste a trip. Thanks!

The rule of thumb has usually been that calling about a clearance item alerts the employee about an item that might not have been on their radar. If it's something good and markdown is over 50% there's a high likely hood that they'll tell you its OOS. If you really want it it's best to go look in person. As always YMMV.

As someone who has worked retail, I wouldn't advise letting them know about super hot deals, or they'll scurry it back to the warehouse and buy it at lunch time.

The Anvil 1 1/2" paint scraper SKU listed is incorrect. The correct SKU is 1004 681 045:

Found it as SKU 1004681045:

Originally $49.99 then marked down $37 yellow tag. Self-checkout scanned $25.04 As I was walking out of HD to my Wrangler a man was pushing a large cart with several boxes of tools plus a big Dewalt box. A group of 5 or 6 HD employees followed him and a struggle began at his car which was parked next to mine. Either the Dewalt box was too big or they were successful in preventing him from shoving the box into the 4-door sedan. The altercation ensued and got way too close to me so I started the Wrangler and burned rubber in 1st gear across the parking lot to avoid getting involved or damages to my jeep or if shots get fired. Not sure how successful was the robbery as the man eventually drove off. I was in the middle of placing my Chinese take-out order when this all started and finished placing the order a few rows over. Before leaving I saw the HD employees pushing the big Dewalt box back into the store. Reporting from the HD parking lot….live ;)IMG_2079.jpeg

are there anymore at your local HD? If so, I would pay shipping as well Would love to have a set of these. Not one of the various HD's in my area of northern VA has any left.

Where were those made?

Can't believe the employees chased that guy...

10 piece Diablo spade set $6.54 in-store. My closest HD had about 30 sets.

They also had quite a few 14 piece Diablo spade sets for $10.04 in-store.

When I scanned the items with the Home Depot app, the prices showed higher. So like the Husky ratchets, in-store pricing is lower.

All in-store clearance shows as full price when scanned in the app, if it even pulls it up. Also, both of those items will be half that price in a week or 2.

PSSSSST.... LET US KNOW!!!

Some of us have infinitesimally short attention spans (others may call it memory)...

Mike

If I see it I will, but while a lot drops at the same time, they usually vary 1-2 weeks depending on area. One district I occasionally shop, drops clearance prices slightly faster than ones closer to me. Though may just be the items I was note interested in

I know what you mean. I often walk through and see tons of stuff for pennies on the dollar, for stuff I have zero interest in (at the time).

The Husky 3-pak ratchets are likely all gone at my local HD but maybe someone somewhere may encounter them < $25.04

My closest HD had 18 yesterday. I price checked and they were still $25.04. The date on the yellow price tag is the same as in the picture of your earlier post #18, 12/11/23.
