I have a shop fix 7x12. The downfeed cylinder does a fine job of controlling the cut. When I raise the saw though, it gets air into the piston. I have to raise the saw well above the work to get it to clear the next piece of I'm just sliding the stock out for the next cut. My buddy's jet doesn't do this and others I've used don't do this. Mine sits closer to horizontal when the saw is down instead of being positioned vertically like many others. Anybody else ever encounter this and what fixed it for you?
ETA: buddy's might not be jet, but I am pretty sure it is. Anyway, mine is arranged like this:

With many others like this, I don't think it's a bad design, but I can't figure out why mine does this. I've had it apart and cleaned it. Everything appears to be in good condition and when apart, it all seems to move like it should.
