I need more information about the 3/8 plug; once I have that, I'm sure I can find a USA made plug socket.

3/8 drive, 3/8 male square plug socket.

I like the Mac better than the Snapon. The square part is a little longer on the Mac.
It doesn't say Made in the USA that I can see
I also found S&K made in the USA.

I've had problems with some shallow plugs. Because the ball that keeps a socket on, hits the edge of the plug and doesn't let the ratchet or extension stay bottomed out in the plug, encouraging stripping
Yeah that can be aggravating on stuck plugs. Good way to trash a nice extension. Also, make sure its not actually 10mm.

So that means the drain plug is a square FEMALE. I already checked Williams, Wright, and Proto. They don't have it.

True. I have a couple junk 1" and 3" extensions without the ball in them that I use. Differentials, transfer cases, & transmission drain & fill plugs for me.

Snap-on makes them, but I got mine from E-Bay at a very reasonable cost. They were used but looked like new. Just a thought.
I try to always remember to check eBay.

I haven't seen any deals on this particular socket or a set.

If you see something, feel free to post a link
