I am all of a sudden getting tons of advertisements on the Garage Journals site. Is this something new? It’s very annoying. It seems like google ads.

I'm seeing it as well and started a thread in the Moderator Section.
My phone did an update last night so I wasn't sure if that was the reason or just a new "normal" here.
I'm seeing 6-7 ads before the tenth post in many sections of the forum and not just Free Parking.

Unless you were running an ad blocker that got turned off in the update, ads in a web browser wouldn't be impacted by it
I wasn't running one then but I did get one now, trying to figure out what was going on with the current state of ads that have arise.
The update my phone did, included some apps that have been uninstalled or disabled.

When scrolling occasionally this kind of thing pops up and no content after that.
Started for me about a week ago and it still happens.

Turns out it was a Google Adsense Auto test... I disabled it. Should return to normal soon.

Not only the ads, I got a cookie accept/reject pop up this morning, there were over a hundred cookies I had to manually disable... Little disconcerting, as while I found I wasn't logged in, I've opened the site without logging in before and never got that.
Usually (over here) you have an option to "Accept all", "Reject All", and "Select cookies"... of course the "accept all" is highlighted automatically, but this one was, well, a PITA.
Add to that banner ads. Not just in Free Parking (which I accept) but every page I open. Just so'as ya know. I know you're on it, so we're standing by...

I'm super not happy with how long it's taking google to propagate... Going on 30 minutes now.
OK... It's finally gone. If you still see it, clear your cache... or just wait for your browser to recache...

That’s a broken ad. If you scroll down far enough, you’ll find content below it.

It was gone but now it’s back. Not in every page now though.

Same problem as the other incidents. You're getting the JSON data describing an ad instead of the ad. Problem is most likely on the service being used, nothing can be fixed here. It’s annoying, though.
