Stores around me never have anything in stock when stuff is on sale like this.

That WD setup is a good price.

Is this everything, or a select few pieces?

Noted in store a while back they were clearancing out a lot of oddball items in that aisle.

Unfortunately not a 6" drop 2 5/16" ball that I needed.
it is NOT everything, just some stuff. The one I went to was mostly receiver hitches, balls, and locking hitch pins

The sale/clearance has been going on for a couple months now. Started off at 40%, now it’s been 75% for a few weeks. Mostly anything Bulldog and Reese brand.
I picked up a bunch of stuff over a couple weeks time. Most to keep, and some to sell. $150 hitch for $30? Yes please.

I am centrally isolated. I looked online to see what was available in each direction. Found what I wanted, placed my order and drove the 12 miles to the store to pick it up. Thanks OP!

ETA....

They must have gotten slammed because their website locked up on me a couple times.

This may help with details (if they are needed). FWIW.... Reese and Bulldog are made by the same company.

https://www.reeseprod.com/product-assets/product-catalogs/HorizonGlobal-2022-Aftermarket-Catalog.pdf

Its a pretty big file. Hitches start on 153 of 500

Tried to order several items, had a lot of changes to the shipping options as my cart would refresh, start with item shipping to store, then to home (for a cost), to finally unavailable. Then issues with the website locking up, finally aborted the purchase altogether. Some good deals I would have liked, but after a frustrating 20 minutes it became not worth it.

That's funny....

Shows 1 in stock locally. I like of remember seeing it as just the shank....
Website description mentions the shank, but that isn't what showed up at my house today. I'm calling customer service back tomorrow about it (talk to them tonight but she needed to talk to someone that was not there tonight). Some really good deals though!

I'm out and about either tomorrow or Saturday. I'll have to remember to poke in over there and see what's left.

If anyone tries to order this, be aware it may be just the sliding part with the balls and may NOT include the actual shank. I just got the ball part, no shank. Customer service rep I talked to said she had previously got a call for the same issue.

that was me! (still waiting on my call back for resolution) I drove way too far to get just a set of balls. Multiple indications on the item page to indicate it included everything. Had I known that as the case, I would have ordered the 3 ball + hook from a even farther away store.

called again today, rep called the mfg and they wanted to see a pic of what I got, couldn't send it since it was at home and I was on my lunch break at work. Sure mfg will be closed tomorrow so will have to wait until monday.

That's good to hear. I actually didn't open the box, but the box clearly says you need to be the main mount.

Same here. The first sales weren't good enough to buy anything I didn't need, but 75% off is right about what the stuff is worth.

Their website is/always has been terrible. I don't get it. App is alright ish, but super slow. Farm & Fleet's seems like the same thing, but 20x better.

I have not bought any hitches or parts in this sale. But I did look
Seems to me that the prices at 75% off are back to where they were 5 years or so ago, before the rampant covid inflation situation

Hopefully we start seeing more constant pricing back that way, the premium prices are insane

That's funny, I was thinking the same thing (OK - maybe only 40-50% off would be 2019 prices). Mind blowing how much prices of simple weldments went up (it's not like Reese or BD is even American made, unlike CURT).

They seem to have some new skus that are similar for less money, so hopefully that is the "new norm."

You are probably right, maybe 40-50% vs 75%. But same idea! ;)

They did something similar in late 2022 with their Traveller branded batteries. Think I bought 5 or 6 group 31's for $99 each
The "new" Traveller batteries they have now are slightly different build though nominal specs are identical. I believe they went from being Exide manufactured to Interstate manufactured

Would not be surprised if they do something similar with the hitches, replacing with a different supplier

What is confusing here is half the Reese/BD are still normal price.

Seems like a classic case of too much slow moving inventory, since they have ~10 configurations of a 2" ball, 2" square hitch with 2-4 inches of drop (Reese, Reese Tactical, BullDog (all 1 supplier from China); Carry-on).

I try to buy USA CURT at Farm & Fleet whenever I need something, but I'm set for life now lol.

So customer service said they can't get me the shank separately so they sent me a gift card for the purchase price so I'm not out any money for the part, but I can't use it. Kinda stinks though since the bulldog shank which had been available isn't available nearby (I don't consider 65 miles nearby).

Ya, she mentioned refunding me, which makes more sense than a gift card for how much I shop there

Thanks for the tip! I had to stop there today for some soil acidifier and I ended up picking up a 3-ball hitch for $21 and a 2" drop w/ 2" ball and locking pin for $13.

Thanks for the heads up.

I got a Trailer lock. It was just delivered today in a damaged bag and missing the keys. Almost.

The two stores I stopped at This week were pretty much wiped out of the clearance hitches.. Marana and Oro Valley, Az.

Slim pickings.

I got some towing supplies but happier about jack accessories:
https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/bulldog-farm-jack-handle-holder
https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/bulldog-farm-jack-repair-kit

Yes, I know that these were made in China and possibly not as high of quality as Hi-Lift, but I don't use the jacks to the maximum and I use them with EXTERME caution.

I also got some jack plates on clearance (75% off) in my local store, but they seem normal price online:
