The design and finish look great. Of course, I have not seen any tests or in depth reviews. Just curious if anyone has any experience with this brand of tools.

I don't really but I have heard they are a good quality brand. Unknowingly about the brand when I got it, I do have one wrench by Asahi for one of my ER collet chucks. Well specifically it's the recommended wrench for the actual collet chuck bearing nut which is a Lyndex. Lyndex's parent company is Nikken which is a Japanese company so it kinda makes sense why they sell/recommend the Asahi wrench.

It's really just a hook spanner, I don't get to use it much so I can't say how good their products are but again I have heard they are good.

I like the look of the bolt fitment, finish looks proper practical but I not keen on the skipping sizes like 11mm 15mm 16mm 18mm .
Will have look and see what singles they offer !
Problem with asia though is skipping useful sizes and it a shame on decent made stuff like this .

Good point. By the time one added the missing sizes, might as well get top of the line Wright Wrench set that the quality is well known by everyone.

Someone has a nice set of Stahlwille Coronas in the classifieds right now. Doesn’t include 21mm but is 6mm-22mm with no skips other than that. I’m all set on regular length DBE’s but if I was in the market that’s what I’d get.

I’ve noticed the skipped sizes being an issue like this for a couple Japanese brands. If you have a specific vehicle you’re planning to use them on that can be fine. I drive a Honda Fit so that would seem great for me… but I also have an Italian moped and mainly use imperial at work. So I stick to just buying singles for those brands

Apologies, posted that before drinking coffee- just saw the dbe in the thumbnail and didn’t notice you said you were looking for combo wrenches.

Similar logic though. I would just treat these as specialty and not as full set tools. Grab a 10mm and another size or two you use a lot, see how you like them, if they work well for you get some more. Especially stuff like this where it’s got an alteration to the ergonomics, I find it’s hit or miss whether it’s actually gonna feel good to you so it’s better to try a sample first than to go all in right away.

I’ve got a friend, Japanese car enthusiast, who has a couple.

Seem to be very decent tools. Good fit, novel design, and durable finish.

The sets are not ideal. I could live without 11 and 15, since I can’t remember when I last needed either, but lack of 16 and 18 is bad news, as they are ISO sizes so they’re everywhere.

Unfortunately, every Japanese wrench set I see seems to be the same - unsurprisingly they’re biased towards Japanese sizes.

Easiest solution is to buy individual wrenches.

I wonder if the OPs video creator Jeffs Garage Adventures is a member here. Ive noticed at least a couple times we have discussed something and he posts videos about the same thing pretty soon after.
Ive also seen Last Best Tool do the same thing and he gets really aggravated when someone calls him out on it.
I think GJ gives YT influencers lots of "inspiration."
At least guys like TTC give credit instead of just creeping.

The video is the first I've ever seen from that creator. I do a Japanese tool search on youtube and watch anything interesting, I also watched this one

Interesting with the contoured section. Wonder how the bolt fit is compared to the common standard brands were used to like SO
