This is kind of a different type of toolbox....

Im a college student and i basically keep all of my stuff in my truck toolbox. With what you see i have replaced many gaskets, oil changes, brakes, and even replaced the clutch on my dodge 2500 diesel.

Very cool. You know, I bought a new 13-drawer box combo this week and was loading it up and all I could think of was how my Dad could "fix anything" by just working out of a little Craftsman single tray box. Looks like you've got what you need to get the job done. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks bud, I pretty much keep acquiring tools as i need them for jobs. As of now its all specialty tools that i need, ie my 1-11/16 socket for the axle nuts to remove the brake rotors.

Looks like your ready to go to Baja with us, we all ways welcome another cummins powered dodge.

Oh for sure i am ready to roll. working on a time crunch in the dust sounds like a good freakin time!

Security would bother me, keeping that much stuff in a truck. Do you have a strongbox or one of those "Truck Vault" things ?

BTW - nice set up - it must be a big confidence booster, knowing that you can set off for just about anywhere and cope with any problems likely to arise along the way....

Yea, i was waiting for someone to mention security. It has two deadbolt like locks on the front that are always locked, plus where i live its all college students who would rather steal laptops. No problems as of yet

You could pull over and do an overhaul, thats the way to go

It started out as just some recovery gear(shackles, chains, straps etc) and just sort of became most of the tools i own as time went on. I really feel like there is not a lot that i cannot accomplish!

make sure you bolt that stuff to the bed of the truck.
I have had so many customers lose stuff out of their vehicles. one guy lost 12000 at one time. His company sent him out of town. he was away from the truck for 30 minutes and it was all gone.

Its bolted nice and tight on both sides with J hooks, only way to get it out would be to open it up.

Plus as soon as i move out of my apartment and finish school hopefully ill have a house and only a few tools will remain in the box.

Careful when i worked at my last job ne of our clients a HUGE construction company came in 1 morning and found 3 f150s had chunks of the bed removed. According to the camera footage they cut the beds just to get the boxes.

theives stole a uhaul pulled up cut the boxes out of the beds and hauled ***.

Never been caught and it's $1200 for new beds each plus the $$$$ inside was never found

Yikes, that is intense. Luckily my area isn't really a high crime are for that kind of stuff. back in my hometown (Sacramento) i would NOT be leaving my tools in this situation!

If those were my tools, I would not kept them like that. My friend kept all of his snap tools in his truck tool box and his truck got stolen. The following week the truck was found and all of his tools were gone.
