I ran across this while at Sears yesterday. I guess the QC guy was a little busy or something. Of course I guess it could be the new triple offset wrench. It was brand new and still had the sticker on it.

You think that bad? You should have seen the stuff I would get right out of the box; when I stocked the floor... tools right out the truck!

Pfft. Nice. I had a big one once, probably 1 1/2 or something, twisted up like a pretzel. It was bent like what you show, but the ends were also twisted in opposite directions. Stamped crooked too, of course. I will never understand how they managed on such a massive wrench. Had to wait for another one to come in the mail since that was bigger than what they carried in the store.

Unreal.

God, today i was in sears weeping over the fact they only had the new chinese polished wrenches in metric and an employee had a 1/2 breaker bar and could not find where it went, even had to hold it up to the 3/4 breaker bar to see if it was the same. They just dont know what is going on...

How do you know that did not happen in the store or while loading the truck or at the warehouse?

Yeah, maybe the cash register girl used it to stir her coffee, like, REALLY really fast, and the back-pressure of the liquid bent it.

Someone oughtta patent that defect before Sears does. It's probably worth a fortune in production for something or other and may even have medicinal powers PLUS work as a divining wrench to find underground water springs.:bounce:

Yea..I might be done with Sears.. The really, really terrible chrome plating on my sockets has pretty well ended it for me.
And I don't complain about cosmetics..but these were really bad.
