So I came across this product awhile back called the Sonus Professional Bucket..
http://www.autopia-carcare.com/probucket.html
This is a cool invention but the price is a bit high imo at $80 bucks plus shipping.. Two bucket wash method would double the price..

So I looked around for something similar to this and came across this..

For $20 bucks you can get a drum dolly. A wash bucket fits on this thing perfectly. Total cost is going to run you around 30 bucks for a bucket and dolly. If you use the two bucket wash method you can fab up a metal connector for two buckets. So for the DIY guys/gals.. I think this is a nice solution..

The basic design is very simple.. So fabricating one from scratch is cake.. I will be building one myself and do a write up on it.

What are you going to use for the "grit screen" at the bottom?

I used eggcrate (light diffuser panel) that you can find at Lowes, Homedepot, etc. I used some short pvc pieces as legs and cut out a circle in the eggcrate to fit in the bottom of the bucket. Does a great job as grit screen.

I agree. Working too hard. Way to stay creative though. Here's another similar to what has already been posted:

http://www.webstaurantstore.com/36-quart-mop-bucket-wringer-combo/274MOPBUCKET.html

Again, throw away the wringer. OR, hang on to it and make the bucket a multi-use tool. The wringer could also hold your rag/scrub brush, wheel brush, chamois, and/or soap and the bucket could double as, oh, a mop bucket. You could still use your 'egg crate' stuff in the bottom, I'm sure.

I have been a firefighter for a little over 15 years. We wash three trucks at our station every single morning (Engine, large rescue, and 110' tower). A mop bucket very similar to this is all we have ever used and we also use the buckets to mop the station with every day.

I think you're working too hard. There's this:

Throw away the wringer if you don't want it.

Or you can get four of these and split the cost for two with a friend and get two for less than $29.

I've seen these already... the wheels looked cheap and the bucket wouldn't work well on rough surfaces... this would be good on tile and smooth indoor surfaces.. I figure it would be a good idea to connect the dollies together.

Depends on how often you wash your vehicle AND how many vehicles you have to wash.

How about washing a Chevy Suburban? When you're constantly on a raised platform going up and down to move it, moving two five gallon buckets can and will eventually take its toll.
