I'm only seeing 47% off. It says it's using my Zip code for pricing and availability.

47% for me too. It's a nice enough set, I bought it on sale Nov. 2018 for $75.99

I apologize. 47% I was looking at an eBay offer around the same time with a 60% off retail for an item.

Says 62% for me, which is about the price I paid for this kit some 8 years ago. No way would I pay the retail. Much better stuff out there than this. The pieces easily fall out when you try closing it, so you have to be quick at closing or you make a mess. Nothing fancy, I mostly use it to re-thread stuff that gets messed up.

Any idea who manufactured your 8 year old set? Is there a manufacturer code? Pretty much the end of the line of the Sears supply line.

I have a set like this from about 2016 or so, and I'm pretty sure it's an Apex Tool Group product. Case is very similar, essentially identical exterior dimensions as a Gearwrench set with a lot of pieces looking the same. Wasn't US made, but the pieces have performed well. Other Craftsman tools of this era were definitely Apex.

Everything I got from Sears under the Crafstman name since 2019 or so was absolute garbage, made by some seriously low bidding companies I can only guess. Great Neck maybe?

My tap/die set looks identical in every possible way to the picture on the web page. I'd assume it's the same manufacturer in china as the set offered now.
