This weekend we got ceiling fans up and temp wired to the light circuit extension cord ( it has been since Halloween to try and get power hooked upIMG_5104.jpeg
We also started framing the utility room above the bathroom so electric can get finnished
IMG_5101.jpeg
We hung ply wood bottom 4 ft and started the drywall above IMG_5106.jpeg
IMG_5107.jpeg
Also picked up the furnace and ac this week so I can get that set in place
FYI the rotary dry wall tools are worth the money if you have a bunch of outlets I have Milwaukee tools so I bought there’s.

Post weekend update: still progress happening just not as fast as I would like. We still have no electricity hooked up…. They have approved and billed me for the hook up, so soon I hope.
With the crazy warm weather we are having this winter our non landscaped site has turned into a mud pit so my wife built a boardwalk so we don’t track it all in IMG_5125.jpeg
I did get a second garage door working now IMG_5124.jpeg
My father in law came up and we busted out all of the full sheets of drywall to hang I have a few small pieces to Finnish up
IMG_5122.jpeg
My wife and I got the utility room framed too

Just curious, how does the sheetrock attach to the walls that are foam? Are you using tap con or something to get to the concrete? (Never done one of those type buildings)
Looking great so far!

Excel? Only took them 6 months to hook up my building after I paid them. Hope you get power sooner than later!!!

The foam blocks have plastic studs every 8 inches, corse thread drywall screws right into it. I’ll take a picture of a foam block later tonight

Not to much to update. We spent a good part of this weekend working on getting and assembling cabinets ( Lowe’s unfinished cabinets need to be assembled like I kea, didn’t know that until we brought the trailer to pick up online order) We have them stained now just need to clear them. IMG_5389.jpeg

IMG_5390.jpeg
Since I emptyed out the old dj gear from the trailer to use it to go to Lowe’s, I moved the tool boxes in, enclosed trailer is the easiest way.

Oh yes I forgot to say last night my wife and I went up to the suburbs to the twin cities and bought us a new truck, a 2024 f350. I laughed when we pulled in the driveway because the new truck is 30 years newer than the newest truck I own. The only pic I have is the engine only haha 7.3 gas

The shop looks great! Good choice on the 7.3, I've heard a lot of positive things about them.. definitely will be looking for one of those for my next F250.

Thank you! I make a living from selling parts to overly complicated and emissions restricted diesels, I did not want to deal with one at home. I mean next year one of Cummins answers to the next epa tier for diesels is make a gas engine…. So far the engine has been good, we will see when I put a trailer on it

Some progress this weekend, got the shelf built for the long end and the Dino stand/air compressor closet has matching walls to the bathroom. Also we got it cleaned up enough to tear into my first project in the shop, seeing what broke in my front axle on the mud truck. More pics on that later. IMG_5433.jpeg

Some progress this week, got some grass seed in and eroson control mats down, the weather has been testing it. Saturday got one of the mowers out and mowed the field, witch is crazy for Mn to have tall green grass in April. After that I got 1 3/4 rock spread out on the driveway. Not a lot of pics though IMG_5478.jpeg

The weekend brought on more lawn work, with the extremely wet spring we have been having for a change. The mighty John Deere 140 got some new lights and a a grill and the deck put on it and mowed with it. Alls I have to say is man my grandpa was a bad *** mowing so nice with a 110, it’s way harder than the zero turn. We also worked on some trim and getting the air compressor room ready for the compressor. We got the compressor out of storage from the father in laws machine shop (80 gallon single phase is to small for the machine shop). We are working on getting siding quotes it’s looking like steel siding to Mach the house will probably win

This last weekend got the closet for the air compressor closer to being done, needs trim and a door but at least the compressor can go in and get plumbed.

IMG_5533.jpeg

Got the used cabinet primed ( my wife hates blond oak stain) for the bathroom.

The mud truck is on its wheels and out of the shop at least, it still needs some work. It will be nice when construction isn’t using all of the space.

IMG_5526.jpeg

Also took the factory ford rims I’ve had in storage for 15 years polished for the 94

Nice! Looks like there is plenty of room to move around. Must feel pretty good to have it mostly done.
Absolutely, siding to match the house is in, I had to order it. HVAC and bathroom are what’s left for major stuff. Oh and I really need to build a work bench

This weekend we got rained out on siding but did get one garage door trimmed outside in siding prep. My wife stained the garage door supports. I got the 77 f250 running better, brought the carb to my dad to rebuild when we got the garage fridge. IMG_5566.jpeg

Not to much got done this last weekend, man alls this weather we have been having is good for growing grass, I feel like alls I do is mow. Saturday my wife and I went and represented where I work at the children’s museum for their path of a seed covering all the processes and machinery along the way.
FullSizeRender.jpeg
After the event on Saturday my wife started mowing again and the big zero turn broke a belt, it being not comon I had to finish on the mighty 73 jd 140
My wife got her own toolbox in our shop for our anniversary, we picked it up Sunday. I got it in position with the butcher block we picked up to build work benches ( ordered steel for the frame )
