And that ebay one lacks the turning ring, which makes it worthless IMO.

Good luck getting a response on Marketplace. Seriously. I still have a few thousand dollars I would have surely spent if sellers would have responded. Now I just state that I want to buy it $$$ just to get a response, then deal with questions. If you ask a question first, you can forget it. They will pass on you rather than answer a question. I have even experimented with having several people I know all try to buy at the same time in various ways just to see how the sellers respond. Three weeks to a month later the item disappears with no response to any of us.

Might you be referring to a swivel base? Swivel is nice, but never a deal breaker for me. $49 seams like a very good deal.

Yes, swivel base. To me that's a key part of the vise's setup.

Generally, they respond pretty well around here.

I do sometimes get surprised with solid interactions on Marketplace. Last week I was sitting in my recliner when I spotted a nice cast aluminum cable puller that I had been keeping an eye out on for quite a while. It was 30 minutes away. I messaged and inside 2 minutes I got a response. Shocked! I asked a couple questions along with requesting an address and phone number in case I got lost. Got that, and 5 minutes later I was heading that way. Got there and the guy was standing in his front yard waiting for me after I text him that I was near. Exchanged pleasantries, paid him the $15 he wanted, and was back in my chair in an hour and a half total. That’s the way I like ‘em!
