I thought "Deals Downunder" had a good ring to it but I hate that moniker...anyhoo, an email from Mektronics in Sydney got me thinking there are some cracker deals here on Toptul gear if you are into the brand or you're looking into some good value Taiwanese (mainly I think?) tools.

Doesn't seem to be a thread anywhere else looking after us so here we are, post it if you see it!

No, but I want something that fulfills a need. It's hardly good value if it doesn't do what I want.

I'm not looking for one at the moment but I think there are plenty to choose from.

Thank you but no, that is not necessary.

I just want to point out that there are hundreds of cheap multimeters out there and you have to look carefully to see what functionality they have and if they suit your purpose.

Sorry, I know what I want, I don't know when others want.

All I am saying is that you need to look carefully to ensure that what you are looking at does what you want (the listings are often obscure).

I certainly don't have a problem with using cheap meters to make rough measurements. They have the advantage of not causing tears when dropped from a great height, being crushed by machinery or just being flogged.

Anyway, sorry I interrupted.
