I considered buying a set of metric years ago, then decided I really had no need for them. I have sets of number, letter, and fractional up to 1"

Out of curiosity, why would you need a metric set? Can't you do what you need to do with fractional, or is it like it was with me, you just wanted them!

Well, your reason sounds a whole lot better than my reason was! You have a logical reason and practical application!

Just bought a set while in Canada the other week. NAPA Autoparts was the supply house in town and needed 8mm heli-coil inserts. 39.99 for inserts and 39.99 for the set of British made 2 tone drill bits 1mm - 13mm. Ya, we turn pens too! Sometimes it's good to have a another country close.

Have usually gotten mine of Ebay. Actually shipped from England or Australia, the last sets were made in Germany and New Zealand. Have not had any problems, but you will need the 25 piece set to get up to 13mm.
