Great find! You ****. Most pawn dealers around here, see Snap on and want almost full price. Even for the beat-up pieces.
The only good Snap on deals have been in the "dig through" bargain bins.

I'm guess the pawns are like that in most places when it comes to Snap On.

Finding SO in the bargain bin is like finding gold! :spit:

Dang, our pawn shops around here are full of fisher price tools. And they are never in a set. Never have anything of quality. They all have a **** load of guns though.

Thanks guys, I was pretty excited when I saw it sitting in the counter and immediately went home to look up the retail price. Wife thinks it is pretty weird that I was so excited about tools at a pawn shop.

one shop I used to go to didnt mark prices on anything, you asked "how much" He would look it up, one day I noticed he was using ebay for his pricing, I handed the item back and said no thanks, and told him I can stay at home and shop ebay

the pawn shops here put everything on ebay. They leave the stolen army torque wrenches for sale on the shelves. One shop has about 8 of the same 1/2 drive up to 2500 inch pound TQ wrenches and they want 279 for the things. They didnt cost that much when they were new 10 years ago. they are NOS.

Between Southfield and Outer Drive? That ******* wanted full list when I went in there. That was for beat up ****, he wanted more than list for the nice stuff. Then bitched when I said no thanks. He went on a rant about people wanting something for nothing bla bla bla. I think I would have been arrested if I would have stayed any longer.

First post, been reading the forum as a guest.

Bought my first item ever at a pawn shop today and curious how you think I did.
Snap-On open end ratcheting wrench set 10mm-19mm.
http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item...group_ID=19837&store=snapon-store&dir=catalog
Paid $129

This is my first Snap-On acquisition but I can see it becoming addicting.
Thinking about a F80 ratchet next to replace my old craftsman.

Wecome to GJ.

BTW those are called combination wrenches.
Open end ratcheting wrenches are completely different.

I think $129 was an ok price on them if they are in nice shape.
You will really like the F80 if you decide to get one.
Enjoy your new wrenches.
