Without being able to see the injection duration data I'm still thinking the spyder set up is the issue, it's the last thing touched, truck started and ran fine for a couple days and now a no start. There is a outside chance the fuel pump is dropping below the 60 psi minimum and the spyder is not delivering enough fuel because if that, but gut instinct says go back to the last part touched.

Back in the day, a significant chunk of MS was run on IBM AS/400. Bill Gates was quoted once as saying the only part of IBM he'd want to buy was the AS/400 division.

Which could run AIX, among other things, IIRC.

Yep - Concurrently. Made it super easy to leverage the best tool(s) for the task at hand.

I had some job streams using RPG, SQL, AIX, and Python. No one else I worked with cared enough about their career to stay current and learn stuff so it made it "interesting" when they had to deal with things I did. They were stuck in the 1980's.....

So glad to be retired.....

Started figuring out how to set up,and use my new dovetail jig.

First cut, needs work.

Secomd cut is better, but the alignment is still off.

@DGersic, once you get it dialed in, you'll be infected with the dovetail disease. I caught it a few years ago and made some drawers for the shop. The dovetail joints make for a really sturdy drawer. Built two cabinets, one to mount my Craftsman table saw and the other to mount my Bosch router table. They are different heights so the table tops are the same height, providing an extension for either tool.
Table Saw and Router Cabinets.jpg
The cabinets are 32" deep and the drawers are 29" deep on full extension 28" slides. The table saw cabinet has two drawers.

The shallow upper drawer holds my electric angle grinders and wheels.

The lower drawer holds wood chisels on the face and electric and battery saws along with a Makita electric planer.

The shorter router table cabinet has a single drawer in it. It holds a six routers and all the accessories and bits. I hung the wooden bit storage boxes on the front of the drawer for easy access.

I'm itching to make some more dovetail or maybe box joint drawers. Just need to finish a few hundred projects already in the queue.

Wow! Lol

Looks like it’s the same one as mine with no return line. All the aftermarket ones I’ve found come with a fuel pressure regulator with a vacuum port, I’m pretty sure the oem just had a fuel damper with no vacuum port.

Pretty sure pump is regulated, so the injector body doesn’t need to be. I was wondering if it wasn’t part of my problem, but it ran fine for a year with it?

Sure this has been tried before. Could there be ground or power issues between the injectors and the ecu and power? Probably not. Is there a timing issue? Tone ring?
Electrically It's really pretty basic, there are 2 fuses(3 injectors on each) feeding power to the injectors, and the ECM supplies the ground sequentially in firing order, I've seen one circuit in the ECM fail but never all 6 at the same time.
The original spider system is a set of 6 injectors connected by plastic tubing to nozzles, the replacement or newer system just moves the injectors and wiring to the end of the tubes.

If you have it give me the part number you're buying.

According to my understanding, that's exactly how they should be deployed. They ATTRACT bugs and kill some of them. So set them up to attract the bugs away from where you want to be. Lots of people apparently hang them on their porch...
My porch is 50' long and we only sit on one end of it. Zapper is going on the other end.

Sorry Hobie, I missed your post. Tone ring?

As others have mentioned, online will probably be a ton cheaper. You just have to make sure it specifically says no return line.

By the way, I got it running, not sure yet if the cold start issue is fixed, but at least the no start issue is fixed.

As Wrench suggested, I went ahead warranteed another spider injector, and while I had the intake off, it was easy to get to the distributor cap, so I warranteed the cam position sensor too.

We’ll see if it starts without issue in the morning, but at least it runs.

Thanks everyone for the help, if I still had all my hair I’d have been pulling it out this week.lol I can change a spider injector with my eyes closed now.

Sometimes the parts shotgun is the smart choice. Spending $300 of time for detailed diagnosis vs risking $30 for a part just in case it works? Yeah, a perfectionist will throw away the hours. More practical person will toss in the $30. I hope you've got it fixed. "This time, for sure!"

Changed out a defective blower motor resistor on the Expedition again. This was an Autozone part that I put in last week that decided to fail on high speed only. Ordered a new OEM part online and it was delivered last night. So I got out there early this morning before the heat cranked up and swapped it out. Seems to be working fine now, but I ordered a new connector pigtail also to be sure. That should be here later this week.

Today was also mow day after being out of town for a few days, so I grabbed the mower key and mowed front and back, then edged with the string trimmer. After that I was able to get a little more done on the parts for the rebuilt Mustang engine. I had ordered a new thermostat housing, so I bead blasted it and installed it on the intake manifold along with the vacuum tree, temperature sensor and heater hose fitting. Minor issue with the thermostat housing gasket that came with the new housing, but I had a new Felpro gasket that fit correctly.

Also welded up a saw cut in the throttle cable bracket. I had cut it with a hacksaw to bend it for a better fit with a different intake, but apparently never welded the cut. I found it after bead blasting it and got a quick bead on it before we had to go to the market today. I'll clean it up tomorrow and paint it.
