As the title says, everything breaks. Lol. I wasn't using this one. One of my coworkers was. Snap-on power steering puller set. The adapter sheared off in the screw. We managed to walk the broken shank out, and now just need the adapter. Both the industrial account rep, and general dealer who runs our route have been pretty good to us, so I'm not worried about getting a replacement for the shop.

Even highly regarded brands will fail with enough time and use. This kit is at least 5 years old, and sees very frequent use. Of the kits we have on hand, this was the one that was still complete, and probably the best of the bunch. Not sure if this is a rebrand, or an in house tool, but it's been a good kit. Everything breaks 🤣🤣

Looks like something the average GJer can make on the lathe in their garage and thread with their die set 😝

There a way to warranty Snap on without a tools truck?
They wanted me to chase them down... like I have time for that.

I broke a socket the other day.

If you want a decent back up, if that's the only puller and you use it a lot, I have the Lang set and have been happy with it. Much better than the cheap options.

Call the customer service line, typically they'll just ship you one.

Good thing everything breaks. I’ve never made a dollar any other way.
Job security!

2ndGearRubber I appreciate the offer, but this isn't a personally owned set. Company owned. We have other pieces, so waiting on warranty bits isn't the end of the world. Just the the other sets are made up of compatible parts from 2 or three older sets🤣 The GM adapter broke, because that's the one that gets used the most. Lol.

Company owned? Yeah I wouldn't be buying **** either unless having it broken fucked with my paycheck.

Interesting, I've never heard of 'uc-daus' before. Sounds German.....is it a new tool company?

It doesn't 🤣 We're government, so tools are provided. We aren't supposed to use personal tools at the shop... But everyone has something. It IS government, with all the trappings and red tape you'd expect. Our current fleet manager used to be a tech, so the tool situation is better than it used to be. Not perfect, but waaay ahead of where it was when I started.
