Hello all thanks for the ad.. my father and I are going to re-epoxy coat his garage floor. he initially did this about 10 years ago using Rust oleum garage floor kit. Something went wrong when he mixed it, though it never fully cured and remain tacky. Today we rented a machine from Home Depot and I ground the living daylight side of the floor, there’s aggregate showing in the floor needs to be re-leveled. He already went out and bought a rust oleum garage floor kit, but after reading the MDS it states that you cannot go over a leveling compound. I’m not sold on using the rust oleum for this reason and its prior application. What should I use to re-level the concrete? And also, what would be a better option than Rust-Oleum.
I could use some direction, trying to re-epoxy my father‘s garage floor. It had rust oleum epoxy on it. I rented a machine and ground it down the best I could. There is still small spots of residual epoxy left. It seems to be bonded very well to the concrete. There are also small holes in the concrete and a small amount of aggravate showing that needs to be re-leveled. What are some products that I can look at that would work? I was going to use the rust oleum again, but it states on the package that you cannot use that product over a leveling mortar. Not sure what I need.
