Doing some work on my buddy’s Jeep this morning, he was enamored with my little tube cutter pliers. Pretty much wants a set for himself and his entire family - problem is that I inherited them, and Google searching the part number was useless. Only marking on them is “HM 9903” and “Made in USA”

Anyone know the proper name, or who in the hell made them?

They look like the type of tool Lisle makes, but Googling doesn’t turn up a Lisle version.
Imperial doesn’t show a similar tool either.

GE make something similar,
Model #:WX5X24535
But the price was astronomical.
$367.30
Although maybe you can find this version elsewhere cheaper.
The pliers say Vulkan Lokring on them.

There are tube cutters used for cutting glass tube, some of which have multiple round cutters. ?

I have no idea what they’re supposed to be, but they are the cat’s *** for 3/8 fuel line…. The little notches for spring hose clamps are a lifesaver as well.

Those wheels don't have a cutting edge do they? I'm wondering if they are pliers for cutting glass tube?

Whatever they are, they're rare. Google doesn't turn uo anything for hm9903 or tube pliers that lookalike that Even ai image searches turn up nothing.nor could I find anything that looks like that thru a patent search.

Really strange, especially for a MIUSA Tool. I'm really curious what it is

They’ve got sharp cutting edges - zip through steel fuel line like butter.

The notches for spring clamps, and where I got them from lead me to believe they’re automotive in nature.

My step-grandfather ran an independent garage for 40+ years, and I’ve inherited a lot of these hard to identify, but handy as all hell tools.

I’m at a loss - I’m guessing 80’s-ish based on appearance and condition, but that’s about as much help as I am.

Whatever it is, I give it 5 stars for usefulness

That ebay listing is a pair of Steeldraulic pliers. Those were for truck brakes a long time ago.

Hinkley Meyer sounds like a distinct possibility. Good direction to look in at the very least.

I’m not all that familiar with Honda tools, for that matter the only Honda product I’ve ever turned a wrench on is an ATC200.

Sounds plausible enough, but I’m surprised they would be USA made.

Yeah, probably the seller has it wrong. I just happened to notice that the "HM" font / lettering is exactly the same as the OP's pliers.

I wonder if they are for a different industry where you cut a lot of lines like HVAC?
Possibly - but the notches for spring clamps wouldn’t make sense there.

It’s just astounding that the part number returns absolutely nothing.
