Got the Dingo motor hooked up. Fuccled with the electrics. Made the original Honda air cleaner and choke linkage fit the Predator. Modified the muffler to vent sideways. Took apart and shimmed the joystick. Removed cleaned and figured out how to shim the track tensioners. Double checked every bolt, hose and connector. Took it out for a scream. Returned and parked it. Added a few gallons of hydraulic fluid. I also read acres of Toro manuals.

No pictures, cause we all know what an assembled Dingo looks like.

Excellent Smithers...

Beat to fit and paint to match. Tighten till stripped and back off quarter turn.

For some reason todays engineers believe the head light bulb/ballast are going to out last the rest of the car......
Engineers need to "in-turn" as a mechanic or in manufacturing for 5 years before they are allowed to design. Otherwise they have no clue. Sorry fellow E's.

This is written as an engineer that became fully disillusioned with the trade as my cohorts extolled the virtue of their designs that were a build and/or maintenance nightmare and I watched things unfold/unravel.

Book smart and practically brain dead unfortunately for many. Sorry fellow E's.

Similar experiences. I spent a lot of time on the machien shop asking about machine and tools capabilities. It made me better.

Well I learn something I can't do. I cannot install a pet door in the garage to house door. It's a code violation. They do however make fire rated pet doors at 10X the price. No thanks, my knees work just fine. Unfortunately my purchased specialty sheet metal cutting tool is going back.
Don't put pet doors in your door. Put them in a wall. You can't patch a door, you can patch a wall.

Worked on one of the most important guns in my arsenal. It stopped shooting a week ago and I tore it apart and cleaned it out. It worked again. Then it stopped working again. Turns out I had switched the order of the plastic washer and the rubber washer on the salt hopper when I reassembled it last time and salt had jammed the feed mechanism. It shoots again.

Cleaned up the tools and stuff from sanding. Had to wash my respirator and goggles to get the paint dust and grime off.

Going to the store on Tuesday, my truck started making a new grindy sound. Got the truck up on stands, running in 5th gear, and found the back right is where it’s coming from. Disassembled and found the self adjuster cable laying in the drum. Reassembled it. Seems fine now.

Washed the car in preparation for a show/cruise tomorrow. Will be good and dirty again when I get home.

I can replace a door. My drywall patching skill ****.

We have a cat door in the door from the house to the laundry room. The litter boxes and cat bowls are in there. The dogs are too big to go through the cat door.

It works well for us.

I refuse to put a cat door from inside the house to outside, though. Woke up one too many times to a rodent inside the house and the cats playing with it. Rabbits make a gawd awful sound when they're being played with aggressively.

The cable should be behind the springs not the last thing on.

I wish Predator would market a 12 hp or larger vertical shaft engine

I would swear that my HF has stocked a ~20hp vertical engine. Like for a lawn tractor. I remember seeing them. I seriously considered hotrodding my lawn bug with one.

Crapazon sells them. They're not that far out of line with what HF sold them for.

With my sub panel hopefully installed this coming week I am moving around my compressor trying to find at least its temporary home. I haven't been able to use it since we moved in last year. I considered getting rid of it since space is at a premium for me. But I would still need one for my occasional use of nail guns, die grinder etc. Maybe long term I will get a smaller compressor. But for now, I will be happy to have it back running.

Had to make a dump run to toss some home remodel debris.

Figured I’d finally get around to tossing these bags of concrete that have been rock solid hard since I bought this place almost 5 years ago. IMG_4928.jpeg

Dunno what I’m going to do with all the extra space I gained! IMG_4929.jpeg

Spent an hour or so last night screwing with the horizontal bandsaw to get a new blade installed. Decided to put her to the test on this big ol' piece of steel to see how square I really got it. Previous cuts were all in small gauge angle iron or T-post scraps.

Also managed to get the door trim painted and the camera reinstalled, calling the wall complete... save for french cleats which I have to make still, that is. Small victories.

Passenger side window regulator went last week on my 2007 Sonata DD, with the window halfway down of course! Surprisingly to me the aftermarket replacement part was only $50 shipped from Amazon and actually decent fitment and quality.

I'm not a mechanic and this was my first time DIY'ing this repair. YouTube to the rescue, found a great two-part video on removal and replacement - totally saved me. Had to make some slight mods as the speaker and part of the door handle ***'y were riveted in, I was afraid of breaking plastic so I re-installed with stainless bolts and locknuts.

Nothing broke and it went very smoothly overall.
Back together and working well. Kick the can down the road yet again!

Dumped some oil into my new 5 gallon waste oil bucket, sooooooooo much easier than pouring it back into the original oil jug. Maybe I’ll spill less now.lol

Put the gas cap back on the generator and closed the bowl drain screw. I like to leave it open for a day after I drain the gas out. Put the generator back into its storage spot.

Wrapped up and put away some ratchet straps.

All is normal in the garage again.
