O' I dont know ........... I'm thinking if you weld the slide when the jaw is at 1/4" you can use it for bend/break testing on **** and "T" joints of coupons.

( ha , the metal fab guys know what I'm talking about )

I would have to agree with " Christmas gift stocking stuffer" :bounce:

ImportTuner - since you bought why don't you tell us how you like it - how the advantage of the slide mechanism works compaired to the original style - does the wrench hold it's adjustment well? ect.

About the only time I use an adjustable wrench is to make a bend in a bracket I'm making. I favor using a wrench of the correct size on fasteners.

Well, so far, it's not too bad; has less play than a standard Crescent wrench; changes to the correct size on fasteners instantly, excellent finish, and for $13.97, I think it's worth the money. List price for the wrench is like $19.99, per the Cooper Tools rep. I saw it initially at the Vendor Faire at our site yesterday and got a Crescent Wrench 100 year anniversary t-shirt. :) The wrench has a limited lifetime guarantee ... BUT, it is made in China to Cooper Hand Tools' Specifications (on the back of the packaging) ...

well you got a good deal on it anyway

it's a shame that the American brand companies are having thier tools made overseas and decieving American customers with them ... i realise they state where it was made in small writing somewhere on the packaging ... it's just that you don't even think of looking when you buy an old American name brand

All kidding aside, if the tools you guys bought please you, and work as intended, it really does not matter what anyone else thinks! I am sure that I have tools in my box that would not impress many on this board, but frankly, I could really care less cause they please me!
