My two car garage that has been converted , post Covid lock down, into a WFH office, home gym, and reloading bench. I still can work on my FJ in the garage and plan to add a foldaway rack (Rogue or PRX) and treadmill next month to lose some Covid weight. Ironically, I never would have thought that the investment in tile and a mini split would have come in handy 6 years later. We still park my wife's car in the garage each night so the wife is happy

I think I need some banners or maybe paint the wall to add more colors. Since I work all day in this garage, I am trying to find a nice solution for the garage door inner panels and to hide the water heater. So far google has not been of help.

I always appreciate some two-car inspiration. While I don't think this is my "forever home" I don't see myself leaving any time soon either. Everything from rust remediation to engine swaps have happened in here, but I admit that they all could have happened a lot quicker with some extra space.

we ended up moving from a 90's ranch with a two car garage to a 60's split level with a two car garage. I had the old house garage well sorted with a nice 70's era built wood bench (big sturdy straight 2x6 construction), toolbox, fridge, and detailing station. it was a fairly tall attached garage that allowed me to install a wheel rack next to my wife's Tiguan without issue.

the new house is a 60's split level, which doesn't have much impact on the garage, but it's definitely not as tall inside, however it is deeper with a section bumped out further. we're also doing some renovations right now, so the garage clean up and painting will have to wait until spring 2022. I've also got a car on order, but it's due mid-year at best, so we have some time to crunch numbers and plan for a potential detached garage. I'd like to do at least a two car detached garage with space for a loft and storage (lift would be nice). as of now, I don't see this being our long-term home, but a stepping stone into this local market. we don't have a shed here either, so all our lawncare tools and grilling items are in the in the garage as well.

old garage (latest 2021 picture before moving):

new garage (grey wall in the background is bump out room, big enough for a toolbox and work bench):

random SketchUp mock up - did a 30' x 30' (wanted to protect for that dream 1980's, but that seems excessive now):

excited to start to plan out this garage and a potential detached garage!

I'm starting a new thread for two car garages. We had one but it had issues with some malware being laced through the thread. I apologise for those of you that had pictures in it and they are now gone. (atleast from your view) Hopefully we can get it sorted out and open it back up. If we do, we'll merge the threads into one. The other thread had over a million views and almost 900 posts in it.

Ok guys lets see those 2 car garages.

32X32 with 12 foot walls and a 12/12 pitch roof.
1/2 plywood inside and 3/4 outside. Siding and trim is rough cut Douglas fir.
Mancave upstairs.
Sorry for the second post. Just starting to learn this site.

Oooo! I always like a good thread revival. I haven’t posted my 3-in-2 garage in this thread yet.
it’s barely a 2-car garage at 19’x19’, but we manage to get all 3 vehicles in there.

…and the 3rd vehicle that lives up in the attic space.

I really need to clean the place up and get some better more current pictures. But it’s always a work in progress, right?

Here is my 2-car, stuffed with everything I needed to do a top-to-bottom remodel of a two story house AND then build a 40x60 shop that all of this stuff (and several tents and connexes, too) then got stuffed in to.

In the decade of ownership, we have never parked a car inside it.
This garage is now her Poshmark warehouse&shipping.
