I never use my Snap-On Cordless ratchet because for me, it is too big. Who makes a smaller one, say 1/4" size with a 3/8" square? I do not want to use adaptors.

The Milwauke M12 ratchet (non fuel) is probably the smallest form factor overall but they have a fuel model that has an extended neck that is much more slender so it may technically fit in a few tighter places.

Wasn't it possible to swap the 3/8 anvil into the 1/4 ratchet for one of the mwaukee generations?

Not positive, but I think the blue ratchet branded AC Delco is smaller than either my M12 high speed, M12 Fuel, or Dewalt ratchets.

I think the Husky is smaller, too.
Not sure how either would hold up in a Pro shop, though.

I know you said "no adapters", but if you really need small, you might want to check out Vessel 400ER. It is tiny compared to most everything else and is based on 1/4" hex drive for bits, you just fit a hex to square adapter for sockets.

I believe it comes with a 1/4" adapter in the box but something like Wera 870/2 would give you 3/8" in a very compact package.

Photo stolen from Google images, but here it is next to a Snap-On model:

The Vessel 400ER includes a 3/8" adapter. I need to be CLEAR that this doesn't replace a standard/full size 3/8" drive electric ratchet, it's much to underpowered. That said, I've used the last few weeks and I actually really like it for light work and nut running. You need to swap the adaptor from side to side since the power function is only one direction, but so far, it's been durable and "enough" for light duty use.

Compared to my Makita:

That Vessel would drive me nuts not being reversible. :wtf:
It would end up in the bottom drawer with my Astro Nano ratchet.

I get it. I'm young enough that non-reversible stuff is still "ok" with me. I have most of the Nano stuff from Astro and I will admit it can be frustrating in some situations.

I've had my eye on that Vessel but never looked into it. I had no idea it was non-reversible. Deleted from my cart. Thanks

I saw a blurb that Vessel is coming out with what looked like a next gen of this in 2Q25

Maybe this?

From the JDT email I just got:

Looks like the handle is a different color then the JDM tool. No details on this yet. Maybe its got a forward and reverse function for the USDM? No idea.
