I don't always say something smart, but when I do, I like to rub it in as much as possible:

[...] Overdrive also looks good - but I think it's an entirely different category. It seems like SBD is trying Mac and Proto RBRT and Anti-slip designs in tools designed to compete in the mid and lower-tier price points. That's a great idea honestly - though I wonder whether it might cannibalize their own sales.

I don't think there's been any testing on these yet. "Cheap" tools have improved so much in the last decade, that the gap between cheap and expensive has shrunk. That doesn't mean it doesn't exist, but even cheap import tools can be relatively precise, have good chrome and be made of good materials.

If the OverDrive tools use Anti-Slip Design similar to Proto, might they end up offering 95% of the performance for a fraction of the price? One can hope.

Torque test channel has done some pretty awesome analysis of wrenches. I'd start your research there. There are several episodes with a whole variety of brands and different tests. As you would expect, Snap on Flank Drive+, Proto ASD and Mac RBRT wrenches perform really well. I have Proto ASD myself and they are fantastic.

Interestingly, there's a new line of Craftsman tools called "Overdrive" that includes wrenches with an RBRT/ASD-like design. Because they're new, TTC hasn't analyzed them yet. However, Craftsman is owned by SBD, who also owns Proto and Mac... no idea if these wrenches are in the same ballpark, but SBD certainly knows how to do it. Until these came out, there weren't any "budget" options integrating this type of design.

Like I said before the long pattern craftsman and overdrive variant are definitely underated. The only drawback is the missing sizes. Stanley B&D would be wise to offer the full size sets and individually on both the sockets and wrenches. Figure they want to protect the RBRT line somewhat.

I thought they were 11 piece 8 to 19 mm and only skipping 9 mm which isn’t really a size?

Shuush 🤫 can't say that around here. Every whole sizes and in between sizes need to be offers period. Joking aside, it's like 3 sizes they don't include, most of which I don't use at all.

Depending on which set, the overdrive may be more complete or less. The flex/fixed DBE skipped 15, 16, 18, the non flex only skipped a couple (9 &11, IIRC), etc. People are not a fan of the fact that these don't seem to be offered as singles for those needing the skipped sizes.
