Finally got around to getting full sets of ball-end allens. Some trim removal tools and a Koken 3/8” spinner handle.
Aesthetically I hate the handle on the Koken spinner, but damn it’s comfy and grippy.

Those Bojo pry tools are the best. So much better than HF, etc. The problem is that unless you buy the Snap On set, you basically have to buy them direct; and outside of GJ, no one knows Bojo, and if they do, they don't want to pay $12 UPS shipping for a few ounces of plastic. It would be great if Tekton would partner with them, have them make the stiffest plastic line in red, if possible, and then sell them on their site. Yeah, I know, but since they sell some of the Ernst line, this would be a great addition. Same with the Schaller plastic boxes being a great addition for them- I buy $15 of those and spend equal in shipping.

I looked at the Koken 1/4 socket handle but couldn't get past the "nubbies" on the handle. Talk about a **** trap. I ended up settling on a Wiha hex bit handle and adding a 1/4 drive adapter to it.

Figured it was hard to go wrong for $18. Few things to modify/clean up for my uses, but it will do good for small metal smithing type stuff.

For most hobby stuff, it's more than adequate. Plus, you don't have to mount it, thus I can take it anywhere its needed--even the 4-foot Lifetime table I use as a desk in my room as needed.

Between the discount on this one, and the 10% and 20% off coupons, looks like tomorrow, I'm going nuts. Definitely getting that clamp vise and the Vacu-Vise clone (as well as the various $1-5 odds and ends that tend to accumulate in my cart), and I'm still on the fence about the 5-inch model. I figure a woodworking vise coupled with a smaller bench vise is more suited to what I do in the basement.

Sometimes I'm damned glad that there isn't an HF within an hour's drive of here!

That's why I grabbed it. I was really after the rotating jaws to position some of my copper work while working on it.

I may cut the clamp off and mount it on a plate to fit my welding table though. I use the welding table as my primary workbench most of the time.

Dude you got some eagle grips. Nice.. those are the best bar none...

How do you like your new drivers? I'm curious how you find the handles.

After another thread talking about hitch clips/hair pins, I saw these in the latest HF coupon ad. I figured they would go in the "assortment drawer" in the tool box.

I missed the 40% off HF 12 Days of Christmas sale since I worked a shift over OT at the station. So I used the 10% off coupon that expires today along with the HF cash back from the tool boxes I bought last month. I have no ICON ratchets and figured this would be a good way to try one. $8 and change for both items.

I'm I the only one that finds it odd to have Posidrive screwdrivers instead of Phillips in a US made screwdriver set?

Snap-on haul. I have been interested in Multi-position prybars, so I went all-in 😂

That oil filter strap has made my life much easier many times when the last monkey wanted to make sure it didn't leak.

I’ve never used that one, but I made my own years ago. Been an incredibly valuable tool!

The handles are about the same length as a standard Craftsman 3/16, but slightly narrower. Haven't had much chance to use them yet, but yesterday I used the 1/4 flat to work on an old B&D jigsaw and it fit perfectly.

Yeah it is. Especially for a budget line. I wonder if these were made for the European market?
Here's a sell sheet for them that I found on the way back machine, and the Pozidrivs aren't listed:

They really did a great job on the mini boxes. If I didn’t have two others I would have scooped one up. I just wish they made them in purple or green.
Yeah, they had tons of them, stacked in the isle by the large boxes and a huge display up by the entrance, and another at the end of the registers....they were allowing two per visit/transaction and just about everyone was buying one (some even two).
One of the ladies at the registers said they'll be sold out after the weekend !!

It would give a better view of the plier capacity while in the packaging, while still using the same packaging.
Yeah, I can see that.

Bought these yesterday for an elderly woman with carpal tunnel syndrome/surgery, for use on smaller bottle caps or whatever she needs. The HF "Doyle" Knipex imitators. They're a fairly decent copy of the Cobra. $17.99.

The blister pack has room for the jaws to be adjusted inside, so you can press the button and see how that works. Except I got it to move a little and now I can't make it adjust again. I'm certain I've just got it jammed up in the package and once it's unleashed, it will be fine.

Okay, the little diagram on the right makes it clearer what they're trying to say.

"Genuine Doyle Quality"! What silliness. You made the brand up only recently!
The important thing is that it's made in Taiwan.

Picked up this Snap On harmonic balancer puller tonight. Fellow I purchased it from is getting out of engine building, I didn’t ask any questions pertaining to it, but it looked like his health was failing. He seemed to like to talk, he invited me to come have a look at the rest of his tools that he has for sale on a Saturday. I may go, I don’t want to waste his time though

I'd pay $8 to try that out.
