Worth noting that the Icon's have a lifetime warranty, where Trusty Cook is only 2 year limited.Tempting! Better than HF (Icon) prices....
Deadblows all eventually need warranty (if you use them enough). With that said, I put most of the hard use on...$10 HF ones, with good results. Baby my TCs. I do want to get some of the ball peen type, however. While I dont abuse them, Ive had my trusty cook hammers for at least 5 years. Zero issues.
Im not sure why you would need to warranty them?
Never saw anything about anything being excluded. They have been GREAT with my warranty requests, even as a school. Send pic, new stuff arrives in about 3 days even to bumble F Vermont.I thought Tekton hammers weren't lifetime. Am I mistaken?
Yes, there is a metal canister....but no clue why you are hitting a punch with deadblow. Funny thing is all the kids in my classes want to hand me a deadblow when I ask for a "hammer".....I need to teach them hammer means "hammer", deadblow means "deadblow"......At the risk of sounding like a real dummy, is there a solid face behind the plastic shell on these style of hammers? If I strike a small punch, is it going to poke through?
Ah, cool. I was using a punch inside a ceramic tub without much clearance not too long ago, and at the time I thought it would have been really nice to have a non-marring hammer.Yes, there is a metal canister....but no clue why you are hitting a punch with deadblow. Now that's an application where deadblow is appropriate for hitting a punch.....GENTLY for both!Ah, cool. I was using a punch inside a ceramic tub not too long ago, and at the time I thought it would have been really nice to have a non-marring hammer.
does TC make them? at a glance, they kinda look like TC.If you want Trusty Cook quality with warranty buy Tekton!
