Hybrid-X Garage Floor Tiles

I have 740 sqft of garage to cover. I found Hybrid-X tiles that are 17"x17"x.65" that are Made in Tennessee. A guy on FB Marketplace sells them for $2 sqft. Home Depot sells them for over $5 sqft.

Has anyone used these?

The gentleman who manufactures these tiles out of Tennessee has sent me a stack of them in all colors to review. I just haven't had the time to get to them yet. He is the same person who manufactured the Speedway Tiles for years before the Recreational Group bought him out. His name is Aaron Hyden. They appear to be the same quality as the Speedway tiles, just larger.

He has always been challenging the big dogs in the market and believes that good tiles can be offered in the $2 range. His tiles are not of the same quality and construction as RaceDeck, but they are a good budget value nonetheless. The styling is definitely different from what anyone else is offering.

Thanks for the response. I just placed an order so I'll provide feedback once it is installed. We're 27 days from closing on our house so I should have them installed the first week of December.

Since the tiles kind of have a pattern, I went with all dark gray tiles

Your own thoughts would be great. It's around the same time we plan on posting our review. Maybe we could include your floor in it

We just got moved into the house. It will be January before I installed them. They're in 16 boxes in the garage.

Those look kind of cool. Interested to see what you end up thinking of them. I could fathom $2 sqft but $5 just doesn't do it for me.

I started putting them down but the garage isn't functional yet. I still have a ton of stuff to organize and purge. My New Age cabinet system will be here tomorrow so that will help. Then I can see what else I need for cabinets.

The tiles are very easy to put down and lock in with each other tight. I've never had garage tiles but I like them. They are made very well and aren't like cheap Chinese stuff. I like that they're made in the US (TN) and Aaron is great to work with.

Here are a few shots as they were being installed. I'm hoping to have my garage in working order by the end of the month. Ordering my lift and mini split this week.

any updates on how these tiles are? specifically how do they do with wet cars/drainage and rolling heavy stuff like toolboxes around?

very tempted. I planned to do full flow-through from some manufacturer but the price vs look on these is appealing

They are probably like all polypropylene tiles that expand in the sun. Starting at 9 am, the sun encroaches in the garage about 6'. When the cars are in there, the front edge likes to buckle. One morning, I remove everything from the first 6' and the tiles expanded but laid flat. When installing the tiles, the tiles are cut 1/2" from the walls (and lift). This allows for expansion. Other than that, I really like them. I have a 42" US General toolbox (roller cabinet and top box) and it rolls across it fine, but not like a smooth concrete floor. I have me Harley on a Pitbull motorcycle lift. The bike is 800lbs with 3" wheels and rolls with some effort. It hasn't dented the tiles.

Overall I'm glad I got them. The perfect solution would be a professional application like Shark Coating, but that solution would be $8k-$9k for a 750sqft garage. I'll take my $1500 solution. It was very easy to install and I had so many other projects to get done in the new house, I didn't want a big one like coating the garage floor. I can beat the hell out of these and replace them as needed.

sounds like it's probably unrealistic to think I'd be able to use something like this to move my 60's project truck closer to/away from the wall on the tiles?

one of the listings i saw alluded that this is a temporary price and it might go up.

I haven't pulled the trigger yet either. Might wait until I see how much I owe the .gov this year, then make a decision

I have my CVO Ultra (850lbs) on a motorcycle lift and it hasn't damaged the tiles. So lets say 900lbs divided by 4 (wheels) would average to 225lbs per wheel location.

Got my order in Saturday, slapped some down last night. Super easy install and strong click lock design. Aaron was great to deal with, super responsive through Facebook. very happy I went with this product and supported a small US company vs the Vevor type tiles for the same price, plus these are better quality

will get some pictures up when I get a chance. Highly recommend for those that want to do something, but may not want to shell out the $$ for the "premium" names


I have zero experience with any other companies' products. I cannot provide any insight into a comparison. These will get typical homeowner garage use, but will also be subject to weld splatter, grinding sparks, jacks, jack stands, etc.
