Didn't get out to the garage yet today. Why, you may ask?
1) My dog ran into my office and jumped on my lap (like he always does), and my brand new POS office chair broke off the base and dumped us over backwards, and now my back is hurting again. I had just tossed my previous chair too, so now I have nothing. Well, I have "a chair" to use in the mean time, but it's not a chair you can sit on for hours. So now I gotta shop for another chair.
2) Then I checked the mail. I got a letter that the insurance on my new place has been cancelled due to rust on the roof, and the condition of the barn. I specifically asked my agent, while he was pre-inspecting it and taking pictures in person, if the old metal roof (it's not really very rusty at all, it just has some light surface rust spots; it's standing seam and just needs re-coated) and the dilapidated barn would be an issue. I even have proof that the barn and other ratty buildings are on a demolition schedule, I'm just waiting on my demo guy to be available. He said none of that would be an issue. So I paid a quarter-year on the premium. Then they sent out another inspector and cancelled the policy. No grace period to fix their "issues", just "buh-bye". I'm so mad I could... Sit here and ***** instead of working.
3) Oh, and I got my property tax bills and my current house is triple what it was last year, and the new place is double what it was last year.
Yeah, I'm kinda grouchy.
