If I was still working on cars for a living, those would be a no-brainer, if only for not trying to locate where the impact swivel socket went after being flung off the end of the extension when I didn't actually have it seated firmly on the fastener.

You young guys have it so EASY!

Got my BO earlier in the week. Looked at them quickly but haven't used the pinless extension sockets yet. Time and need not lining up yet.

Got my GO today. Thank you Astro!

It started as one of those magnetic L socket rail things from Harbor Freight. I drilled the rivets out and replaced the metal clip rail with an aluminum one from Ares (same as Olsa and all the other anodized aluminum ones). They still fall off on its own so I have a Carlyle branded magna strip to hold the tops on. It works good so long as I don't slam the lid down.

anybody ordered the 78354 from Aliexpress??? they've got a good deal going on these until 2/8...$58, quite a bit less than the typical $100 or so from a US seller.

I see them for less than $100 but not that much less. Have a link?

The astro swivels I have in 3/8 drive hold up pretty well, and I'm not kind to them. After 18 months or so the 14mm got kind of tight. I bought a Snap On 14, all the others have been fine thus far.

I'm really surprised my nano sockets are still in one piece. They're all ovaled out and fucked up, but they're still doing well. I think I'll end up buying another set at some point as they're worn out from use.
What’s the model number on the SnapOn version of these? Is it these

might be interesting to buy the no skips Astro set and add in one or two common sizes from snap on like 10

I was referring to regular swivels, as a reference to astro impact socket quality.

I have this 3/8 set with the built in extension, and while not used frequently, they've been solid. There's a lot more use on my regular swivel socket set.

I see the 1/2" drive metric set is out

@Astro_Pneumatic_Tools BOGO deal?

Looks cool and I hate to be that guy 😂 but somebody got to complain about the missing 12 mm. Most 1/2 drive speciality kind of stuff runs 12 to 24.

12 mm and 13 mm are both m8 so the bolt is the same. I’m guessing they wanted to keep the total set price down but I would like to see 12 on there. Or just start with 14 since thats where m10 starts.

one thing that could be interesting is offering a set of 10 to 13 or 14 in 3/8 with a set of the rest in 1/2 drive no overlaps. When you get to speciality tools like these and they are not too often used and $15 each then having a no overlaps could make sense. Idk if your really going to run into needing both 3/8 and 1/2 versions of 17 18 19 of these tbh

I would've liked a 12 too as they're usually included in their 1/2" impact sets. But I probably wouldn't use a 1/2" impact on a 12 or 13 anyway.

I looked and it was $158 with $100 shipping on top. Do you have a link. I kinda want the 3/8 ones looks like they would come in handy

Oh it’s because they wanted it to fit in a case clean and skipping 12 they got 5 on each side since they also skip 20 and 23. If they added 12 they’d have an odd number and couldn’t fit it in the case. I’m sure Chris thought about putting 12 in there I know he know someone here would bring it up since 12 and 13 are for the same size fastener and both are real common

Honestly wouldn't have minded if their other 1/2" impact sets started at 14 and went to 24 while skipping the already skipped 20 and 23, especially if it lowered the set price

It makes sense that Astro releases the 1/2" drive extensions after I just bought the regular set. I bit the bullet and ordered the 3/8 version last week and was surprised how heavy the box was. They seem extremely well built.

Just tried my 1/2" set on some stubborn catalytic converter flange nuts -- they definitely work as advertised:

@Astro_Pneumatic_Tools - you're welcome for the idea. Glad you were able to make it happen.
