Building this in feed and out feed table which takes the place of the much shorter, OEM sheet metal tables has made life much easier. I use this table on a 1st generation, mid 90’s vintage Delta planner.

IMG_3276_Original.jpeg
It Doesn't eliminate snipe but minimizes it.
The table also makes using the sled beside the planner much, much easier.

Pulled cabinet doors getting ready for paint.

I use my air compressor to help clean nooks and crannies. Put the hose on yesterday and there was a massive air leak from the quick connect fitting. Put a new one and the leak is mostly gone. I think there is a small knick on the hose fitting that I need to address.

Ha, I misread that as "acetylene bottle rockets."

I'm sure everyone would be interested if you made those.
Hypothetically, I might have made worse. What's the statue of limitations on rocket launchers? lol
And my answer?
He were breathin weren't he?
That would be in character..lol

In the garage shop today (Job #1):

After re-assembling the Fluke 78 III multimeter yesterday (left), I cleaned the dirt stains from the protection cover (yellow) and slid it onto the meter.
I also cleaned the older Fluke 73 (gray).

Job #2:

I worked on the ECHO PB-2520 leaf blower. It began shuttering down after about 2 minutes of use. After allowing it to set a while, it would start then shut down again. From my testing, seems the ignition coil has given up the ghost. I have a new coil on order.
IMG_0678.jpg

When removing the coil, I noticed the spark plug cable was pinched during factory assembly.

Job #3:

Made this Angry Devil Gnome for the wife. :)

Finish repairing an old oak Windsor chair that was literally falling apart. The stretchers had come completely out of the legs, the spindles for the back were loose and the seat had a nasty crack in it. If I had half a brain, I would have thrown it away, but five bucks worth of epoxy, a few hours and a bit of finish restorer and the chair was back in service for my bride (who uses it for an exercise aid).

The chair is probably 100 years old or more. Not fine furniture, just an old relic we pulled out of her parents house when we did the pre-sale clean out 5 years ago. The chair is still old and ugly, but at least it won’t collapse under the weight of a feather.

Good for you. Part of the appeal of those old chairs is seeing how they were made, and the previous repairs of those who came before us.

Put the wife’s car up to repair an exhaust leak. Took her to work this morning, then went to O’Reilly’s and picked up what I thought was the right pipe. It would have been if the exhaust hadn’t been totally bastardized by a previous owner. Dual mufflers eliminated, converter flange deleted in favor of a welded joint. Rather than fight with it, I welded up a bandaid and said close enough.

86 T top coupe would be my final Fox-body, or a newer one and swap the front end to the 4 eye version for the same look.

Your N2O FOX plate, reminded me of my GDad's plate "N20" on his 87 when it was a "street car". Later it came off the road with a 408 windsor based stroker and Jerico 4 speed/ McCloud setup. Ran 9's

IMG_2954.jpegBeen working on my 2016 Ram for longer than I would like. Was throwing multiple cylinder misfire code, ended up being the exhaust spring but I decided to take the heads off so I could inspect the cam lobes and change the lifters as a preventative maintenance. Wish I would have just changed the spring, lol.
Check the mounts while you are there it'll never be this easy to change them if needed.

Thanks @Wrench97 , any advice on how to check them? Is it just a visual or should I use a pry bar and try to wiggle them. I never payed any attention to them, maybe it will be self explanatory once I do?
Prybar is my favorite to test drivetrain mounts. I just jiggle the **** out of things and see what moves too far.

I organized one of my tool drawers with the olsa toolgrid system. I like it. More to come. Someone gave me the harbor freight gold plated wrenches. They are cute...

And after that I installed 6mm aluminum skid plates on my 4x4 off-road vehicle. I had the big plate installed a few weeks earlier, I installed the transfer case and a few other skid plates yesterday.

Started the floor pan project on our Cougar over the weekend. It's been a slow process so far. I bought a cheap HF air saw, thinking that would work better than a Sawzall. How wrong I was(and what a pos!).
Drilling out the spot welds wasn't much fun either, but my son shared some of that work. I have some more material to remove in the toe area, and then some cleanup and trimming, so the new pan will fit properly.20250124_190132.jpg20250127_180320.jpg20250125_181752.jpg

This is my first winter with heat in the garage so I'm still sealing things up to prevent heat loss.
The service door on the front is a used, commercial, steel door that I got for free a couple years ago. Very sturdy and nearly bullet proof but with no threshold, no insulation and no weather stripping - boy oh boy was it a source of heat loss.
I had this used piece of plywood and some unfaced R15 fiberglass insulation so yesterday I boarded the door up for the winter. Also foamed in the windows.
There is another modern insulated door on the side of the garage so I am using that for the winter.
This place has really changed in the last couple of months.
I insulated, drywalled, taped and painted the place - R15 in the walls and R60 in the attic and ran a nat gas line from the house for a used high efficiency furnace.
The City is installing all new water meters and yesterday the installer texted me he would be here at 11:00 to do ours.
I texted back that I was in the garage - go to the side door and just come in and I'll let him in the house.
He came in and looked around and said
"Wow this place is nice."
I said, "Thanks. Its my own private paradise."
I still have a lot of cleaning and organizing to do but it is a nice place to hang out in.

Did some repair on the old Fluke 73 III.
IMG_4779zz.jpg

All four post were broken, alone with the face plate.
Had to bond them all and replace the battery.

Glad I added the protective cover years ago. (y)
I have one of those from work. Someone left batteries in it until they corroded. I took the batteries out and tried new ones. No luck. Now I need to clean it up to see if I can get it working again....

Not in the shop, but nearby. I cut in a road at the bottom of the property for better access, as well as for a fire break. To get on the road from the driveway, I had to drive through our drainage ditch.
Had one of the neighbors dig out the ditch with his mini-ex and I installed a culvert pipe so it was easier to access...the 20' pipe looks a little funny on my little truck, thankfully they're not very heavy.

That 86 T-top coupe is a rare one and a lot of guys dream car. I never liked the T-top look, must be an 80s craving lol. I had a hard time finding this car with just a sunroof option. I didn't want the coupe in the 4 eye but I do think they are some of the nicest looking foxbodys out there.

I added a sound bar to my shop. I have had one in the two-stall side of my garage but when I'm working out front in the yard or in my third-stall shop I realize that I'm turning up the previous sound bar loud enough that you can hear it in the house. So I decided to be a good spouse and keep the original one turned off when I'm in certain areas.

We've been going through a bit of a clean up and purge in the 'home office' since the cold weather moved in. I normally keep the shredder in the garage but somehow stuff just doesn't seem to make it there - it just gets piled on the desk. So I brought it in for the clean up and we shredded several garbage bags worth of stuff. Looking at the desk it has a CPU compartment which isn't being used since we have a smaller case and it sits on the desk. Measurements were made and the wheels started turning. I had a spare older 20" full extension drawer slide. Lots of bits and pieces of lumber laying around. So today the shredder got moved inside. Hoping that it will help with the clutter that accumulates.
