Looking for extensions with a universal joint on the end

Preferably chrome since they won't be for impact use.

But, all I can find is impact so far.

Other than the VIM dual universal jointed chrome extension, I'm not finding much. Interesting, it's not quite what I have in mind.

I am literally just talking about an extension with a permanently installed universal on the end.

Would you consider just welding up the two parts? Or a dab of JB Weld would work too.

That Matco set is kinda what I'm looking for.

I have since found some in cornwell's blue power catalog. And I saw a single 14inch long extension, 1/4inch drive in the usa cornwell catalog.

I was really hoping for something high end, usa made.

The singular cornwell extension is usa made, but I can't seem to find a set with multiple lengths.

I'd rather not have locking, spring loaded or any extra features like that.

This looks ok. Doesn’t seem to be spring loaded or locking. Wish is was USA made though…

Curious the use case for this rather specific requirement ?
Motorcycle and Automotive.

I don't prefer spring loaded because I want to be able to go at it with the universal at an angle of my choice. And I want it to stay put at that angle.

I don't want bulk due to low clearances frequently encountered. So no locking features.

This will only be used on a ratchet, so no impact.

Hence chrome, no locking and no spring loading.

I prefer USA for coolness factor and there is a part of me that believes that it will be of higher quality if it is USA made. Better material, better fit, better finish, better tolerances.

Why are you opposed to using impact rated with a ratchet?

You know about “wobble” extensions. right?
I’ve found that universals don’t work well or at all at much more of an angle than what wobbles have.
Would really like to hear what techs think about universals.

As far as those spring loaded swivels go, I wouldn't doubt that whoever is making those for Matco is also making them for Titan.

They are not identical, but both arrived on the scene around the same time, and both made in Taiwan. The business ends have the same allens for adjustment (or disassembly?), but the Titans have knurling and a hex at the drive end so you could perhaps put a wrench on it. Not sure what use case I'd have run into for that. Maybe if there wasn't enough room to stick a ratchet in the end? idk

edit: I guess I could see a situation where the hex on the drive end could come in handy if I couldn't break something free by myself, not uncommon with a swivel because they eat up the torque, the hex could possibly be used by a buddy with a wrench while I used the ratchet to get on it with more beans.

I use universals all the time and absolutely can't stand my wobble extensions.

Not much help to the OP.....guess I've never seen a need for an all in one extension/universal. Snappy doesn't make any?

There is always the option of extensions with pin retention.
Of course, then the obstacle is finding universal joints with a pin hole.
