So some years ago, I was searching for good DIY sockets and Gearwrench was getting good words, so that's what I got. While doing the search, and just after I got my sets (1/4, 3/8, and 1/2), I was reading that some people were upset because where Gearwrench was manufactured in Taiwan, they were moving manufacturing to China, and many were now getting sockets made in China.
As far as I know, no one stated or showed any ACTUAL differences between the two origins as far as quality, durability, etc.
So fast forward quite a few years (I think at least 5 or 6), like any GJ doobie, I needed to order a new 3/8 inch 10mm socket (long) because I can't find my original one.
Lo and behold, it's made in Taiwan. I can't imagine this is new old stock that's been sitting in a warehouse all these years, so did they move manufacturing back to Taiwan? Note - I ordered from HD's website, but it was actually shipped directly from Apex.
